I didn't, I usually don't play puzzlers. But I've seen it played. That one got you, eh?

It kind of addresses the concept explicitly.

I fired up The Long Dark for the first time and ended up playing for a few hours. I didn't know that the game has a single player story mode, so I'm making my way through that. I really like it so far, although the wolves in the game are scary! After several days of wandering in the wilderness and scavenging for food, water, and firewood I finally found a small town. I met an old woman there who is hopefully going to give me some help after I earn her trust.

What's the worst you've all had the sensation?

For those who don't know, it's when you do something so intensely and repeatedly over time that it begins to pattern your thoughts. So named for Tetris, as the phenomena was noted by people constantly visualizing objects as Tetris blocks, to the point of it being pervasive. It can be especially strong around the edges of sleep.
I actually just started playing Final Fantasy X for the first time via the HD remaster on Steam, and had several nights of sleep where I dreamed about underwater stuff, which is not at all a normal dream setting for me.

I wish something like that happened to me. I just have plain vanilla psychosis.

You should do this!

I've always wanted to go back, I just knew i'd have to be in the right mood for it. Plus, the controls on the Xbox are a bit weird. Well they feel weird for me. I think they probably work better with a m/kb combo. Or at least with a mouse only. But I remember some of your comments playing and after you finished. I have those in mind when i'm playing so it is adding another dimension as I play.

It's one of his all-time favorite games and he really wants me to play it despite my lack of interest in most JRPGs. I may try to convince him that we should wait to start it until after we move in together next year, otherwise it will take ages to finish. Heck we still haven't finished The Journey Down Chp 3 at my place, and that is a short game.

I had no problem with the controls on PC, so that's a shame. I'm glad they aren't bad enough to pull you away from the experience though. I'm also glad to hear that my comments are inspiring you as you play.

Went hunting for Dragon Quest Builders and also finally found A Link Between Worlds for a reasonable price, I guess it is a Nintendo Select now. So yeah, doing super well with my whole not buying too many new games thing...

I really want to answer this but it would be really inappropriate and offensive. I may have to tell you in a PM instead

He's moving in with a friend in May, and then he and I are planning on moving in together next spring.
