I was able to final track down angostura bitters (thanks to my mother as it seems I might not be able to buy it where I live).
So I finally made some true Manhattans and I think they were pretty good. I am now going to go get ready for a wine and beer expo. Usually find at least one new interesting type of booze at these things.

1 part Wild Turkey 1 part my mouth Served in a 5th with a paper bag crumpled around it. Garnish with Miller High Life. Actually, I've become a Jim Bean addict as of late. Jack doesn't do it for me, but it's been a long time since I tried Wild Turkey. I think I'll expand my horizons the next time I'm out. |

I love Jim Beam! It's my go-to. Not my favorite, but my go-to. Same with Miller High Life.
Also: This was recorded ten years ago when they were babies. It's really funny because Ben (the lead singer) is known for his love of Jameson now. Back then, though, his first verse was about Evan Williams. It's so funny to realize he drank it when he was in his early 20s too

We need a Tripping Thread. Last night a friend, my wife and I ate 10.5 grams of magic mushrooms. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again.

Dude. Mushrooms are AMAZING.
Best drug ever. The only one I've ever done I'd do again without reservation. And guess what? In September I move to Eugene. Which is the mushroom capital of Oregon. Seriously, like 90% of the shrooms in distribution come from the forests around Eugene. Shit's gonna be so awesome.
