[TGS] Prince of Persia looks awesome!

I just saw the TGS trailer for Prince of Persia. I was mildly interested before but after seeing this, I think I'm going to pick it up.

I remember playing Sands of Time on my PC and loving it a lot. I hope they can keep the elements that made that game fun while throwing in enough original content to keep it fresh. Will anyone else be picking this up?

EDIT: I just found this gameplay montage trailer from TGS as well. It looks cool but the combat looks a little repetitive. I still think I'm going to pick it up because it looks like fun either way.

The trailer didn't win me over but it was certainly better looking than I expected it to be. Honestly, I had largely dismissed PoP after Sands and this mostly flew well off my radar. Depending on how reviews hold up for it or what people say the overall feel of the game fleshes out to be, I may pick it up on the cheap. Looks pretty in motion.

Yeah, the little double jump thing they got going on is really the only thing turning me off of this game right now.

This game just joined my list of possibilities.
I didn't play Sands of Time or Warrior Within, but this looked pretty neat.
I liked the art style, and the mechanics looked interesting.

I love the look of the game. I've already preordered, because if you do you get the LE for free.

I love the art direction in the trailers so far, and the team-tagging gameplay mechanic looks interesting. Can't wait for this to come out in December.

I wish they would have given this game a tag. It's not like they are THE Prince of Persia.

For the lazy.

Hmmm the music video thing just doesn't fit as well as it did for Assassin's Creed. I still want the game bad.

It always amuses me how the "Look! Shiny!" approach can still suck so many people in. Admittedly it looks gorgeous, but I'll wait and hear some positives about the actual gameplay before losing my shit over this.

i will say though that while the music in the demo vid might not fit 100%, i do find it haunting and would like to know the song/artist.

I'm finding that more and more, music score is becoming important in the gaming world.

Music from Mirrors Edge
Music from PoP
Music at the end of Mass Effect
Music at the end of Portal (of course)

Music seems to be more and more important and I dig it!

now I look forward to the future and some cool indy stuff put together with some hit new IP games!

I'm totally hooked into this game. I can't afford to buy it...but i'll rent it...but it's because of the trailers that have me wanting to play it. I had no interest in the last series too...

I'm one of the gullible for "look, it's shiny and moves real cool"...I admit it. But the some of the hinted at gameplay looks awesome. And if it's roots of the gameplay are in the older series...aka, still platforming elements...hell i'm there...platforming I don't ever tire of playing in a game...

If this game plays like it looks...sheesh...how many really good games are we playing this fall? I hope I find time to play them all really...this is one hell of a three month stretch for games...

Don't get me wrong here, I love the look, and I really hope it plays great. I am simply reserving judgement.

I'm looking forwards to spreading it out over the end of this year and the beginning of the next. I cannot justify spending the amount of money I want to in the next few weeks, so one at a time for now. I'll catch up, and have something to enjoy when there's a dearth of decent titles.
