[E3 09] Agent Announced for PS3

Rockstar Games has announced a new PS3 exclusive called Agent. According to Sam Houser it will be the "ultimate action game." Besides that wonderful bit of hyperbole not much has been said about this new IP. All we know is this:

Agent takes players on a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s.

Until we see more, allow me to speculate wildly. I'm imaging an open world action/adventure that's heavy on the humor and looks like mash-up of Team Fortress 2 and a 70's cop show. Predictions?

I do hope it's some kind of an insane, colourful, stylish game, Interstate '76-style, rather than a dead-serious political thriller.

I can't wait to find out more.

Just discovered Burn Notice and I would love a game in that style. Come to think about it, series plot (at least as mush as I saw from it) is exactly like a GTA game.

I just wonder what form the story will take in the game, will it be more like a lone gunman, burned and left alone to drag himself from the pit he was thrown into or will you start as a high profile agent from the start getting missions straight from the organization... or, or, or imagine a whole life story of an agent in the spirit of first Mafia game, but set in a world of espionage.

Hmmm, tasty, sounds great.
