Jesus fuck, people need to stop with the Blizzard stuff, there are other games out there in the genres.

I find it more amazing people are still buying the Sims 2 with the Sims 3 coming out so soon.

Im surprised with all the Blizzard battle chests. I guess with the new instalments coming out soon people are getting up to speed. Those battlechests do usually have a lot of gaming time in them for a low price.

When is the NPD gonna start tracking and keeping stats of digital distribution? With the way things are going it's clearly the way of the future and it's hard to take the numbers they put out seriously since nearly everyone I know acquires games via digital distribution if possible.

How can the NPD be expected to track digital sales data when so far no one will cooperate?

The battle chests aren't experiencing a resurgence, they never stopped selling steadily.

Quite true. It's amazing that Starcraft is still selling so steadily... unreal even. It must be all those cheaters buying new copies, heh. And Sims2, seriously.. I never took the list that seriously though since it was just full of Sims or Sims2 and a few other entries sprinkled throughout. Even less so now that DD is so popular.

Good to see Tales of Valor and Demigod in there.

And holy crap! How many copies will L4D sell? (Steam's figures are supposed to be twice as much, at the very least).

As others have said this list is useless with DD numbers.

PopCap only having one game on this list is evidence enough that it's way off.

npd cant track digital download sales cause the vendors typically wont provide that information to them, for instance, valve has no motivation to give sales figures out to a 3rd party
