Runaway: Twist of Fate Announced for DS & PC

Click the image to see the rest of the screens

A DS & PC game with an extremely cool visual style by the name of Runaway: Twist of Fate has been announced.

Runaway is a graphical adventure game, putting you in the shoes of Brian Basco and his girlfriend, Gina Timmings. Although I'd never heard of the series before, Twist of Fate is the third entry in the series.

Runaway: Twist of Fate is set for release on the DS & PC late this year.

I remember the first Runaway primarily for its then-unique copy protection. When I bought the game, it had a little card with a letter from the developers, explaining that they were a really small company who's taking a big risk by publishing a traditional adventure game, and since there's no traditional protection on these discs, you could easily put them on the Internet or make copies for friends. We're asking you not to."

Since Runaway 3's almost here, it sounds like it worked.

I've had one and two sitting in my steam account for a long time.

I've been saving them for a rainy day as I've heard they're pretty mediocre, but they've been on sale on Steam a bunch of times.

Well as I said I haven't played it yet, but from metacritic and my friend who is obsessed with adventure games, it seems there's better games out there to buy first (e.g. Longest Journey, Sam and Max) but if you've played all those it certainly isn't terrible.

It does have the unique art going for it, and they are frequently on sale on steam for a great price so even if they're mediocre I think they might be worthwhile.

GREAT games.
I was blown away by how good 1 and 2 were when I never heard anything about them. Really fun adventure games.

I loved the first game. I have the second but haven't really started playing it yet.

Sign me up for the third.
