CoG Fallen Earth Fan Art Contest

Today we are kicking off the CoG Fallen Earth Fan Art Contest. All you have to do to enter is submit your drawing to cogfallenearthcontest@gmail.com with the title "CoG Fallen Earth Entry" and identify your CoG username. You are also welcome to post your entries in this thread, though they must be emailed in order to be counted. Winners will be chosen on a fairly arbritrary set of guidelines ranging from artistic skill to humor, though great artistic skills are definitely not a requirement. Basically just have fun.

There will be 5 winners chosen, each of whom will receive:

Fallen Earth T-Shirt
Closed Beta Key

The beta key will be sent to the e-mail you use to submit your entry.

The contest starts immediately (4/17) and will go until Sunday April 26th at 11:30 EST.

Check out http://www.fallenearth.com for information about the game and for any inspiration for your entries.

The artwork should be an original piece for this contest, should correspond with the theme of the game, and obviously should be of your own work. Unfortunately, this contest is only open to those in the US and Canada.

An art contest does seem like an odd way to go about this, but whatever. For those who don't know, you get to draw Post-Apocalyptic stuff, and it would be awesome to see one of you guys do an interpretation of our giant, mutated chickens.

Well, to be honest, I just couldn't think of a decent alternative. I tend to find the "Answer some obvious questions" contests lame. I didn't want to do something that would require a ton of effort on my part like "Write an essay on why you want to be in beta." and I didn't want to just make it a quick "Spam this e-mail address to enter."

Plus, the MS Paint bear threads were popular, so I hoped at least a handful of people would put something together for this.

I went over to the website but none of the concept art or screenshots showed anything interesting :\. It was just page after page of grayish barren landscapes and some dudes with helmets and guns. Maybe I'll just make a piece of artwork about that.

Ooh. I don't know anything about this game but the idea of creating some sort of post-apocalyptic landscape thing excites me. Like, mightbe levels of excitement.

EDIT: Oy, does it have to be a drawing? I was hoping to use some Photoshop Fu for my entry.
