Yuusha 30 (PSP)

I could try to explain this insanity, but 1up does a better job of it:

- Hero 30, where you are charged by the king with slaying the demonic overlord that threatens the land. The quest is divided into stages, each 30 seconds long, and within that half a minute you'll do everything the big-boy RPGs allow -- level up, find new equipment, beat bosses, that sort of thing. The game unfolds on an overhead map, with side-scrolling 2D dungeons and whimsically pixelated monster graphics.

- Princess 30, a shoot-em-up featuring the little lady fending off hordes of nasties while searching for the herbs to cure her sick father with. She needs to find the curative weeds and get them back to the castle within 30 seconds, or all is lost!

- Knight 30, a mixture of action and strategy. The knight must protect a sage for 30 seconds as he casts a monster-destroying spell, using a variety of tricks and traps to keep the minions at bay.

- Demon Lord 30, a realtime strategy game -- yes, in 30 seconds -- where you must defeat rival monster gangs and take over the game-map territory for your own evil deeds.

Here is to hoping it sees a U.S. release.

I should get achievements for watching this~ ADDGirl

Rails? The DAY/END threads don't need no stinking rails, they just meander like a drunk looking for a bench to flop down on~ Gorvi

Hell, 'derail'? This is like calling the surface of the sun 'warmish'. Somewhat lacking in appropriate magnitude~ Jpublic

That's too applied for my tastes. Math makes the most sense to me when it's reality bending abstraction. Or when it's evil~ Frederec

There's also a freeware PC version of this (not sure if it's a prototype or a full game), for those interested: clicky
