Banjo-Tooie on XBLA in April

Banjo-Kazooie fans rejoice! There's more Banjo action headed toward Xbox LIVE Arcade sometime in April. The seminal N64 sequel Banjo-Tooie will feature improved graphics and will sport the oft-fabled "Stop 'n' Swop" feature that never materialized on the N64 version. From the official blog:

Quote:
Without going into too much detail, the Stop ’n’ Swop items collected in Banjo-Kazooie will ‘magically’ appear in Tooie, resulting in... well, you'll just have to find out. What could be cooler than that? Nothing, that’s what – not even Kazooie turning into a dragon.

Thanks to CoG Prime Tip-Wielder, Kielaran for the tip!

Nice. Now hopefully the first will drop a few points so I can finally pick it up.

Yeah how much does BK cost (in normal dollars)? Adding the original Stop-N-Swop to BT AND to Nuts & Bolts definitely piques my interest...

I'm curious about this too. I remember really enjoying these back when and wouldn't be opposed to picking at least the first one up if it's reasonable.

Banjo-Kazooie is 1200 points, I would expect Tooie to be priced similarly.

So that's Kameo, Viva Pinata, Viva Pinata 2, BKNB, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie all in one console generation. Rare are finally back on top form again.

Now, Blast Corps XBLA. Make it happen.

How about a Grabbed by the Ghoulies 2?

Hey man, Grabbed by the Ghoulies was a pretty cool little game. It wasn't amazing or anything but it was a quirky and fun little beat em up. I played all the way through it and found it to be a pretty solidly made game. It was clearly aping the Luigi's Mansion vibe, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Also, I too would really dig a Jet Force Gemini XBLA release. I never played that game past a few levels in, but that was largely due to the ugly blurrier N64 textures. If they brushed it up like Banjo Kazooie, and put in real dual stick controls, it would probably be great.

A PD remake with online play would probably end up getting me killed via starvation or dehydration. Chasing people down with poisoned knives never gets old.

I'd get Blast Corps for sure... they also need the rights to update and publish Goldeneye. I thought that was in development already though.

Picked up BK when it was released to xbla, just haven't found the time to play past the first intro area.

Apparently Nintendo and MS couldn't come to an agreement on how to distribute (and on what platforms) Goldeneye. Of course, the game itself is a hellish prospect to port from the rights alone (Activision hold the Bond license now, right? Then there's Nintendo who published the game and MS who own Rare)
