RPG Review Week at Playitreviewit
![]() Time to don your mythril helmets, draw your two-handed battle axes, and start writing some reviews of some of your favorite RPG titles! This week, we're trying something new at Playitreviewit, where we select a particular genre for people to wax poetically about. You can go as recent as Fallout 3, or transport back to the days of yore, and conjure up a review of your favorite Zork title. This is the first installment of Playitreviewit's themed review week, and if you aren't a big RPG fan, don't worry; there will be plenty of other genres to work with in the weeks and months to come. |

Return to Zork was one of the first games I got when my family got a PC. Also included in the CD-ROM were all the original text adventures, including Planetfall. Someone really needs to resurect that series.

The Infocom games were my first true gaming loves. Before that I tinkered with the standard Mystery House-type games, but when Zork came out, it was all over.
The rest is history.

Someone should review Baldur's Gate I and II for consoles, as well as the Norrath games. Someone besides me, of course. I have no time.
Except I'm off today, but that doesn't count. I'm busy. With stuff. Of an important nature. |

I knew the pic would work. When Siraris asked me to draw a banner for RPG Week, I said to myself, 'What was the evolution of my gaming history?'
Bonus points to whoever can identify the different enemies and the games they came from. AM |

Well, the first is a grue from Zork, and the second is a slime from Dragon Warrior. Can't place the other two though...

The last one is the candle-headed little guys from World of Warcraft. Gnolls or something...

Strange, for some reason I could've sworn it was a Dragon Warrior or WoW goblin. It's kinda hard to tell as goblins are pretty generic...
EDIT: Ah, yes, this thread reminded me that I have yet to finish A Lurking Horror, although that technically isn't a RPG.
