I tried watching Paranormal Activity 3 last night. My wife and I both fell asleep, I think we are gonna try and watch it again tonight.

Watched Midnight in Paris a couple nights ago. It was interesting. The infatuation people have with that city makes me scream though.
Full disclosure: I've never been. Perhaps experiencing it would turn me into a zealotic city worshipping weirdo too. |

I've been twice and liked it less each time, so YMMV.

Went and loved some parts, didn't like some parts. My wife, however, is clamoring to go back.

See, and my complain isn't "people really like Paris and want to visit there, even often." The complaint is, "Oh Paris, the most magical city in the world; every inch of it is a work of art; I could spend every moment here; I feel like I could really live here and it would change my whole perspective; I couldn't help having an affair because of the magic of Paris; I'm really thinking about just living in Paris; no other city can blah blah blah like Paris; look at this Paris; Paris me up some Paris berry pie; Paris Paris Paris Paris; did you see that Paris I Parised; Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris......."

I must say. Fuck season 3 though. The whole sphere builders story arch lasted the whole series and god it was boring. Actually the only good thing was that it concluded the temporal cold war arc, which was the most uninteresting and poorly handled part of the show imo.

If you want a dark Woody Allen movie set in New York and have a taste for Dostoevsky, you should definitely check out Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Midnight in Paris was about romanticism. I mean there was a point in history where all those writers and artists were in Paris. That era and the city itself, is much romanticized and it shouldn't be a leap to believe that an aspiring writer would be in love with it. Speaking of Paris in the 20s, I just saw Hugo. If you see one 3D movie this year, you should watch this. Scorcese seems to be paying tribute the past for his last few films. Shutter Island was a tribute to Hitchcock, this is a whole movie about early Silent-era pioneer Georges Melies. In fact, he managed to sneak in shout-outs to many silent movies. He recreates his version of Harold Lloyd's "hanging on the clock arm" shot! I looked around, and everyone left the theater smiling. I also saw Bridemaids. It wasn't as funny as everyone said, but it wasn't also the chick version of the Hangover or Superbad. It is a lot more human than that. But it's bogged down by bad pacing and really lackluster shots at improv. Also, everyone should be watching Person of Interest. It's the Batman TV show we never had!

Drive Angry.
I don't care what anyone says...I love Nic Cage simply because he knows he's shit, and the best roles just let him do what he does best. It was a lot better than I thought it was gonna be. And The Accountant (William Fichtner) was the best fucking part.

I saw bits of that on pay per view. I agree it's so bad it became an instant must see for me in the future. Cage is hilarious.
