Yeah, I noticed that. And they failed miserably in even coming close to matching the source material.

I enjoyed it. It was pretty much everything I was looking for in a Predator sequel.

Maybe there was a plot, but I just didn't have enough interest in the characters to care.
Forgive the armchair movie analysis, but I think the sudden and crazy start of the film was supposed to be completely out of the blue and jarring which is what the characters are experiencing. In their first conversation all the people seem to remember is going about business as usual then WTF?!?! free falling into the Predator jungle gym.

I can see how lifting scenes from the original movie could bother some people, but I didn't mind it. And I don't care what you say the Yakuza guy put up a hell of a better fight than Billy in the original.

I think this team were able to kill a group of Predators while the original could barely kill one because these are the rich yuppie Predators. Those that are too fancy to go to an alien world, and just vacation with their pith helmets and monocles to the game reserve.

I dug Predators. It was a lot of fun.

It's the Inverse Ninja Law at work. The more of something there are, the more ineffective they become.

It is especially noticeable with Aliens.

I have two episodes left of the first season of The Wire. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen. I'd probably put it right up there with Firefly given how much I'm enjoying it at the moment.

Unfortunately, second season of The Wire is kind of shitty. Then, fifth gets kind of shitty again. But the rest are excellent!

Everyone said the second season was a dip in quality, but I still found it quite enjoyable. Sure the whole shipping aspect was long and drawn out and mostly pointless.

Show should of been called Omar.

Just watched Return of the Living Dead on Netflix.

I can't believe I have never watched this movie before. A "so bad it's good" movie. Definitely worth watching for their interesting take on zombies. Puts the stone-wielding zombies in The Walking Dead to shame

Return isn't my favorite zombie flick, but it is an entertaining watch.

Is that the one where they incinerate a zombie and it rains and the ash cloud falls on a cemetery and causes more zombies?

I really need to watch the others (I caught the first on Hulu recently). These are movies I was raised on, and right now I think the DVDs are just sitting in a bin, unopened...

Pretty well done, and surprisingly affecting. Recommended.

A friend and I have a theory; that Return of the living dead 3 is the most romantic film ever made.

Easy A
This was a pleasant surprise. The only reason I watched was to check my internet connection and that Emma Stone is very talented. The premise, classic set in modern high-school, is quite trite, but she, more or less, makes this film. Definitely worth a watch.

Despicable Me
A film written by parents, for parents, to watch with their kids. The jokes are silly and childish, but it did get some LOLs out of me. I did feel weird, watching it alone, but it was entertaining.

Out of the Past
I am a sucker for Film Noir. This is the perfect noir. The perfect chiaroscuro cinematography is just awesome. Jane Greer kills it as the femme fatale. Robert Mitchum was also cool, but what was up with the tie?

You know, you are quite lucky. I have found that Tron usually has the opposite effect on people.
