Heartbreak and picking up the pieces.

So, maybe it's just the threads I'm subscribed to, but I've noticed the general theme at the moment seems to be quite a bit of sorrow.

That's understandable, and, quite frankly, right.

That said, I know this community. I know all of you well enough to know you're good people and that the pieces will be picked up.

I've been fairly vocal about saying that there have been some missteps made, but that doesn't really matter.

The major point is that we've all ended up here because we all know what we care about.

And speaking for myself, personally, what I care about is all of you.

Moving on is never easy, no matter the cause, but this community is strong enough that it will all work out in the end.

End 3mo transmission.

This is exactly how I feel. I love this community and hope we can transform our excitement for the new site into something amazing.

We do need more love, and posts.

Tho consolidating some of the web sites might be good.

Amen. It wasn't the site, it was the people. And although I've been a perpetual lurker, I've always enjoyed reading everyone's posts. It wasn't the news that brought me to the old site, it was the forums, and the discussions going on in them.

Most the threads I'm subscribed to are about games.

Add another "Amen!" to the chorus. This place already has most of the people I used to talk to, and I'm sure as the days go on, the rest will trickle in.

We all might feel a little (or a lot in some cases) betrayed, but it will pass.

In the end we're the ones with a shiny new house and parents who don't abuse us. Uncle Phil would have a few too many and whip out the extension cord.

"Not in the face!" We'd yell...but he would never listen. Then he would hit us up for more beer money. Such a vicious cycle.

No sorrow here. I reserve that for women and familial deaths.

Just distaste and disgust and a bit of bafflement.

Also this whole thread is dripping with homo-eroticism.

And I like it.

What makes a site is the members and the community, not the URL and the banner.
