I wish I wasn't so terrible at Adventure games...I'd love to play more.
Putting random shit together just eludes me. I'm surprised I made it to S1E4 of Sam and Max.

Thanks for this. Downloading both now.
I finished Beneath a Steel Sky when I was a kid, but I've forgotten pretty much everything but the first couple of hours. Never even heard of Lure of the Temptress, but I'll check it out too. Now I just need Full Throttle and I'm set. |

Grr.. BASS looks really cool but when I tried saving, I couldn't get back out of the menu screen. Bah.
I'll fight with it some more...

Started Lure, interesting concept. You can give very specific orders to NPC characters which is neat, need to spend some more time with it.

This is great, but I do want to point out that Beneath a Steel Sky has been available for free online for quite sometime. Legally.
Sill, this is pretty cool of the guys over at GOG.

That's nice to hear. I was worried I'd never get to reload my game.

Anyone even remotely interested in old-school adventure games owes it to themselves to play BASS.
I've not heard of Lure of the Temptress before, so don't mind if I do! *yoink* |

LongStepMantis, that is the coolest avatar I've seen in a long while.
On Topic: I started Lure, and had to restart a few times. It took a bit for my brain to remember old school PC adventure gaming. |

It worked on XP machines for sure.
I'm not saying this isn't cool. I was just trying to add a little reality before everyone freaked out. Carry on.

I've picked this up, along with the original Fallouts and some other stuff, but my GTX280 (yeah, I know) won't scale properly, and steches everything to fit my 24" widescreen monitor. Anyone have any tips on getting nVidia drivers to scale properly?

This thread made me visit GoG for the first time and I now regret it...but at the same time, I don't regret it a bit.
As well as the two freebies, I've bought Fallout Tactics, Oddworld, both Earthworm Jim games and I'm also considering Darkstar One and Patrician 3. I was hoping they would have Starcraft, as watching the SC2 alpha video has made me want to play and I can't for the life of me find my CD. |
