Eidos Montreal & Crystal Dynamics Making an Avengers Game

A new Avengers game is on the way from publisher Square Enix and developers Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) and Eidos Montreal (Thief, Deus Ex). We don't know anything about the game beyond the dev roster and the teaser you see above.

According to CNET, since-deleted text from the YouTube page said the game would be revealed in full next year, so this seems to be a very early teaser. But with talk of 'Reassembling', and the broken accoutrements of Thor, Iron Man, Cap & Hulk lying among the rubble, we can make guesses as to the plot.

Kind of early for anything aside from a "we'll see."

Solid companies behind a property that's long overdue. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's good.

This could be great but I'm a wait and see too. Way to early for any hype or interest with stuff much closer

Crystal Dynamics has done an absolutely stellar job with tomb raider. I hope they take lead on this and eidos just makes content and the art director shuts the fuck up.

They're now talking about this as a 'multi-game deal'. That could mean multiple games in the series, but I think it more likely means multiple Marvel (or Marvel Studios) titles.

While a AAA Avengers game would be welcome, I really want there to be a AAA, well-made Iron-Man game. Armor-crafting, flying gameplay that feels great, a bevy of weapons, JARVIS as your UI voice.
