I Just Got Rick Rolled...

...kinda. By the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Now that was weird, though I don't think it counts as a real rickroll. There was no surprise in it. If it did, it certainly would qualify as the largest.

I bet an intern made an off-hand joke that got terribly out of hand.

Was that... intentional?

It was incredibly random, if so.

Well at least Rick Astley broke up the monotony of lip-syncing boy bands. Gotta give him props for that.

I tried to rick roll someone and it didn't work out. Anyone have a link that actually works?

I can easily imagine a day in the near future when every music-playing device - from the iPod to video game consoles - comes pre-loaded with this song as a bit of surprise, sample music.

That'll be the day I go off-grid.

They played a remix of it at a club I went two the second time I ever went out to one.

Everyone asked me why I was laughing so hard.

Although, my daughter did like the sesame street float.

ps wtf is wrong with the nfl? Why exactly are the halftime shows during the thanksgiving games all have bands that only a 12 year old girl would like.

I went into a local diner with a friend recently and Rick Astley was on the radio. I cursed under my breath, and to my utter disbelief, he had no idea what a Rick Roll was.

You do realize that probably 90% of the country doesn't know what a Rick Roll is? 90% seems like a low number to me. If we could survey people - not an online survey - I bet that less than 10% of the US would know.

Yeah, sorta killed me that both games were utter blowouts (at least, the Cowboys game had been by the time we turned), and they use bands to appeal to the tweens. My cousins' kids were all over the Jonas Brothers, the Dora float and Miley Cyrus, whereas me, my uncles, my male cousin and my dad were all over the Rockettes. Though, NBC screwed up the HD feed with the wireless camera they were using to go up and down the line, but when it worked, there were some GREAT shots.

Just in case people didn't hear about the other recent epic-Rickroll. (npte: link does not lead to a rickroll)

But who knows where this link leads to.
