On the DLC side of things, Dark Souls gets the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, which adds the content that was put into the PC Prepare to Die Edition earlier this year. On the sale front last year’s PSP horror adventure game Corpse Party is half off, in celebration of the sequel being announced for later this year. The full update from the PlayStation Blog:

I'm so hoping that Dark Souls DLC hits the EU as well today, but knowing SCEE, I fear for the worst.

Everyone go and buy Corpse Party! Well as long as you own a Vita or PSP.

Bought Corpse Party a while ago, but the sale reminded me I need to go back and work on it some more.

And, someone help me, I paid money for Tokyo Jungle DLC. There's a robot dog and crocodile, for crying out loud. What could I do?

I downloaded the Dark Souls DLC and started up my old save game (which had finished the platinum trophy). You'd think that would mean I would have unlocked everything and could just jump in and find the new areas, but no. I think this was new into a New Game++ where I'd just run and done the bare minimum to complete what I needed. I'll need to get back in and relearn the tactics while finding the new stuff.

Bought Corpse Party right after the update went live last night. Now I just need to find time to play it.

I'll be picking up Corpse Party and Wonder Boy in Monster Land. I can't pass up either of those on sale. One day I'll pick up the Dark Souls DLC, but I have a long way to go in the main game first.

The EU blog at least says the DS DLC is coming out, and there was much rejoicing followed by cries of death and despair!

It's the PSP game that came out a few weeks ago (an enhanced port of the DS game), just now playable on the Vita.

Didn't even know they'd ported it. Would have been helpful in my FF replay if I didn't have to switch systems.

Scee fails again. No Dark Souls for me tonight cause the shitty store doesn't update.

We did get a cool Singstar logo right in my face when I want to play a game though. Annoyed.

Is Corpse Party any good? I know the gist of it, and I have enough PSN credit from a card I bought. But I kinda want to save my money for next week when Okami HD comes out. I never really got to play that game, and I know it's gonna cost $20.

When it comes to horror/thriller games I still have 999 which I haven't finished yet.

Yes, but it's kind of obsessive compulsive. clearing each area requires you to fulfill a series of criteria that is A: not stated, obvious or transparent after the fact, and B: often won't impact any dialogue or the ending within that chapter.

I had to use an FAQ to get through what I did, and eventually the re-playing things I'd seen before (even though the levels were genuinely slow-burn scary and atmospheric) took the shine off that particular apple.

That said, it's probably worth the ten dollars. I played it in a warehouse during the winter in the wee hours of the night, and I got some heavy chills out of it. So if you can swing a scenario like that, go for it.

Winback has been a genre classic since it debuted on the N64. Great game, overlooked, and criminally underplayed and ignored.

I remember Winback from the N64. Wowza. Talk about a game that was ahead of the curve in several ways that are taken for granted now.

I grabbed Frobisher Says (can't beat free!) and Zero Escape. Going to go see how the Nonary Game is going to play out this time around.

And man, all of this Corpse Party talk has my pooper all buttered up I think I have to restart it anyway... hmm...

I ran into a few.. issues with Corpse Party, namely areas where I have no idea how to proceed and no real indication as to what I'm supposed to do. I may have to resort to a walkthrough.

I'm humming and hahhing about SFXTekken... I want it.. but I already have a copy and I think I'd not touch it once Assassin's creed hits next week.
