Considering the Arkham games are a love letter to TAS, I wouldn't separate them.

That was my thought. Arkham's Joker is a bit darker, but it's a very similar performance.

Enough reason to put it to a vote. Though I imagine there won't be many votes for most of those choices. I could just make it Nicholson/Ledger/Hamill, but then I'd get complaints that I left someone out.

Nicholson was playing Jack Nicholson is make-up. It was good, just not that good.

EDIT:
Mark Hammil, hands down.

I'd actually choose either Cesar Romero or Jack Nicholson. Now maybe if you gave Romero's personality Heath's motivations and actions.

Why, because he's dead? His Joker was interesting and worth exploring more in a few more graphic novels but lacked the music and performance Joker should have.

You want two Hamills go with Batman Beyond's Joker, that was a darker version.

Man, you can be a complete tool at times.

Fair enough that you don't agree, but don't presume to tell me that I'm picking Ledger just because he's dead.

Ledger was one of barely a handful of Australian actors (actually Australian, not ones our media simply claim as such like with Crowe) to ever be any good. Him being dead means more time spent talking about Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, a tragedy in itself.

He's still not the best Joker simply because it lacked a core element of the Joker.

I don't really think you can easily compare animated characters to live actors. While I think Hammil does the best Joker voice, my favorite live-action Joker was definitely Ledger.

I was watching some TAS (thanks Voodoo) and I started thinking about the games. Villains have their own motivations in most cases that just happen to cross paths with Batman. Sometimes he has to do detective work to even find out what that is. You know, being the world's greatest detective and all. In movies it's such a Batman show. He I trained you, i'm doing all this for you, destroying this city while you watch, you fired me, you killed my father. You're dad and me use to work together. Wait that's Spider-man but still.

You're welcome. BTW if they are unavailable, it is because I am replacing them with much better quality versions and then converting the lot to H264. BTW, just added Castle if you fancy that.

Do you have a Plex channel or are you sharing them some other way? I'd be up for some TAS, if it is open to others.

I run a Plex server. Have you got one? I'm happy to do cross-sharing @ 320kbps.

Ah man, I wish TAS was on Netflix stream, that would make my day. Going to check out the Spider-Man one, miss that series.

Anywho, I'd say I would love it if they would try out like a Batman Beyond type scenario with an older Bruce Wayne and a futuristic Batman suit. Would be interesting to think about who would play Terry. Would be cool to see a futuristic Batman.

I've only started messing with Plex a little while ago when I bought my Roku. I've mostly used it for watching internet video on the TV (YouTube and CollegHumor) but I should see if I have anything worth dumping in there.

So, to answer your question, ye, I have a Plex server, but if we swap access, you gain nothing from the deal. I might have stuff worth hosting, though. PM me and we can chat.

That reminds me. I meant to share the TAS h264 rips that I oversaw the filtering on. You can get them off SDBits if you have access. Those rips have MPEG2 artifacts corrected, haloing removed, rainbowing and dot crawl removed, and gradients retouched. I do this to all my rips because I am obsessive compulsive.

Heh. I have the full TAS, Justice Leage, and Superman, but they're all TV recordings I think, not even DVD in many cases.

Doesn't bother me much though. They're still fantastic, especially Batman.

What SDBits?

I have the complete Disney Gargoyles and 2003 TMNT series. Both look like tv rips. Still trying to sort out stuff for a Plex server though.
