Team Fortress 2 Goes Into Space With Pyromania Update

The folks at Valve are at it again. Another Team Fortress 2 event leading up to a Meet the Team video. This time we're getting Pyromania, to celebrate the release of the ninth and final MtT video, Meet the Pyro. The video will be released in just under 48 hours, but there's more afoot.

As usual, the update is packed with...crazy crap. In this case a space race between the brave American monkey Poopy Joe and the Soviet space chimp Vladimir Bananas.

There are a couple of hints hidden around the page, which are as entertaining as they are mysteriously informative. First and foremost, the new achievements, all of which also center around rocketry and space travel.

I forget which update this was originally from (Soldier/Demoman update?), but it's just as hilarious as it was back then. "TAKE THE LIFE OF FRED ASTAIRE!"

I'm curious to see what the new game mode entails. I'm trying to piece something together looking at the achievements, but to me it seems like a payload style map similar to Hightower, but as an offense vs defense type thing.

Just when I was fucking pissed about lagging out and getting killed by wallet warriors in WoT I see this news and I'm slightly less furious.

It sounds a bit like payload race with the intel instead of kart.

This is what it sounds like to me. It's been a while since I played, but isn't there a Payload Race map with elevators?

I'm confused. Didn't the pyro already get his special guns and achievements ages ago? Would I even recognize TF2 anymore?

There should be class limits of three in place for all classes already, unless one of the updates borked it and I haven't noticed.
