WeekDAY gaming(6/25/12)- What are YOU still playing?
Good morning gamers! I'm tired and recovering from injuries caused by a group of ninja cats that attacked me in my own bathroom. I fought them off for now but I await there evil return.
I will be playing All Zombies Must Die and Street food Tycoon What will you play?

Homework
and Dragon's Dogma- I bought this Friday, and I think I've played like 25 hours so far. This game definitely fits neatly in the "flawed gem" category. There's lots of technical issues and some design quirks that stick out like a sore thumb. However, once you're cutting through a swarm of bandits with your own band of clownishly demented pawns (I've got a giant, a midget, and a ginger) or stabbing wildly at the heart of an airborne griffin with incendiary daggers, those issues almost disappear. And how can you not love a game when you've got Kirstie Aley as your main character? ![]() (I should have removed the hood)

don't let's start
|
I'm still tying up loose ends in Pikmin 2 and Ocarina of Time 3D, then I'll move on to Kirby's Epic Yarn and keep figuring out Pokémon Conquest. On the PC front, we just finished Diablo III on Inferno as I dinged 50 so I guess it's on to the next difficulty.
Also I start Calculus II today. I've never taken a proper summer course before, so this will be... interesting. |

I'm taking six credits this session, which is full time for summer. I don't find it any different than spring/fall in terms of workload. Instead of 4-5 classes, it's just two, but there's work every night.
I took Arabic 101 and 102 last summer. Man, best way to be a full time student ever. Once class (4 credits) counts as full time, so I got the full GI Bill benefits, and the homework didn't take me more than 20-30 minutes.

This week will be all about Vita games most likely. I started up the crack addiction that is Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational yesterday, that game is incredibly hard to put down. There’s more than likely also going to be a healthy amount of Disgaea 3 and WipEout 2048, both of which have enough content to keep me busy for a very, very long time.
On the console front I’m continuing with Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within and I’m surprised how much I’m liking it based on what I had heard previously. Sure, the story isn’t all that great, but the gameplay is far better than The Sands of Time. I’m about 4.5 hours in now and I’m heading to the first of two towers I need to go to in order to unlock some door. The game also looks damn good redone in HD, much better than Sands of Time did.

I was up all night last night with a fever and this hacking cough that has killed my throat and made my head feel like it will crack like a watermelon every time I cough. I have pretty much drank a while container of codeine over the weekend, and I'm not sure if I can get a refill yet. It's been awful.
Wound up calling into work even though I've only been there a month so far. Always a great thing for a boss to have a new employee bail out of work sick so soon. I just can't do it though, I'm so beat. So I'll probably play Legend of Grimrock today as well as whatever else I want. I have 8 hours alone in the house to do whatever I want, and that's very rare. I HOPE I don't just sit on the couch. I tried to fall back asleep on the couch this morning and did for about a half hour before I woke up in a panic, coughing so long that I thought I would asphyxiate. Going camping next week for the entire week, so I just want to get this crud over with this week and be healthy for the trip.

Math is one of the more doable classes for summer. Anything that involves writing papers I always found to be a bear (as was the feeling of my fellow students in those classes with me).

Well, I am going for an interview today for the manager position at the house I worked at most of last year. Unlike my most recent stint as a manager, I actually want this gig. Plus it's a permanent position, which is much, MUCH nicer than the part-time, temporary thing I was doing most of the spring.
The only problem with my wanting this particular position is that I'm kind of fretting about the interview, despite having just done multiple interviews of late for essentially the same job and with the same people. Sigh. Wish me luck! When I'm not charting my future, here's what I've got on the go on the gaming front this week: The Witcher (PC) - Thanks to Brave, I was inspired to fire this back up and am thoroughly enjoying myself. I have no idea why I just stopped playing last year (my last save game was almost one year ago to the date) but it wasn't that I was stuck. I think Deus Ex came out and distracted me... Gravity Rush (Vita) - I actually started to play this the other day. So far, so good... I can see how there could be some frustration with it later on if things get crazy, but I'm still in a place where I like it ![]() Dragon's Dogma (360) - If I finish The Witcher this week (I'm in Act IV or so), I'll get back to this. I just really want to wrap up The Witcher once and for all! I also got my son a metal detector for his birthday (along with some boxing gloves & helmets) so we're going to probably take the detector for a spin later in the week or on the weekend. He already spent most of yesterday smacking his friend around

Also to truly grasp KA you should occasionally buy a potion to change her look and make her skinny. Then about 6 months make her heavy again ha!From last weeks thread: Quote:

It was because of Kameo though. Then later Amped and Halo. Hell I have followed the Amped series closer than almost any other series of games except for maybe Halo.

@Karak: You are making me play Halo 3 before Halo 2? I'm going to miss out on the cliffhanger
![]() I thought you drove badly in Dead Island. You have much more experience you showed in driving badly in Halo. That said, I want more games with driving in them so you can drive and your passengers go off of every cliff you can find. I wonder if we could lure my gaming twin to play a few rounds of Halo with us

I slept off and on for over 13 hours last night. The wicked sunburn that I got at the Pride Parade really knocked me out.
Speaking of Pride, it was so much fun! I made some awesome new friends, went to a BBQ, walked around the festival, flirted with some cute go-go dancers, had classy cocktails, went for breakfast at 2am, saw the parade, went to a concert in the park, and did many other fun things with a great bunch of friends. What an awesome weekend! ![]() Now I'm going to nurse my sunburn and hide from the sun for most of the day. I think I'll watch a movie and play some Dreamfall.

I'm also going to try to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter this week. The book was great and the movie looks fun. |

And the system seller for the original Xbox for me was Rally Sport Challenge 2. Still one of the best racing games overall and some of the most fun times I have had with a group of friends.

Twins, jeeze, I'm going to have those in 8 days........
It's cool, but it still doesn't seem real. It's a good thing I have the Netflix queue loaded up with stuff to watch if they don't sleep.
