You know it's a Resident Evil game when decent controls remove all the challenge.

Or a survival horror game that can pull it off without making your character seem mentally challenged.

You can have mobility without turning into an out and out shooter. Revelations does a good job of letting you move without losing any tension from combat altogether.

Hardly survival horror. Survival startle-continuously, sure, but cheap jump-out scares don't earn you the horror badge.

Silent Hill. Resident Evil the first.

Jump-out scares in MODERATION.

I'll admit to chucking my controller in the first Resident when the dogs come tearing through the windows since it's the first time I'd ever seen anything like it. But beyond that, Silent Hill was and still is creatures shambling towards you (which I suppose isn't cheap, but isn't horror) and Resident Evil little different.

So we'll need to amend. Survival Things Jumping Out In Moderation Or Shambling.

Silent Hill isn't horror now? WTF?

You people...
I fell asleep twice playing Amnesia and the third time got bored enough to just shut it off. True story, not trolling. Did absolutely nothing for me and I honestly cannot fathom how it's frightening in the least.

Different strokes and all that though.

I hate you. I can't even play more than 20 minutes without shutting off the game and turning on every light in the house.

Honestly I wish I enjoyed it. I know I'm in the severe minority too. The story really interested me and screamed Lovecraftian which should almost be a must for me. Couldn't get past the game enough to forge on though

I am rarely scared by anything in movies or in games. I don't believe in ghosts and ghouls and other things that go bump in the night. But I know good horror. Silent Hill is good horror.

I suspect the reasoning of why no second circle pad is something along the lines of, both versions need to be functionally the same. So that people are only choosing between more portable or bigger screen, rather than big and functional or portable and gimped. Which would lead to people not wanting the big one waiting on the complete version of the portable one. This also has the effect of telling people who are waiting on the revision of base version with the 2nd circle pad that they are going to be waiting a long time.

The CCP for the XL at least means they aren't killing off the 2nd circle. And they may yet do a refresh (of both) with both circles already in there.

Ah well, with only one circle pad, the lefties are already left out in the cold. Game's like Dillon's Rolling Western must be near impossible to play for a lefty. So, yeah, having the stylus on that side is good for no one.

Hey now, I played through all of Zelda II with that D-pad, so it can't be completely useless.
