I can easily die 20 times/night in Planetside (the game most closely resembling this game), so Dust 514 would cost me $5/night at that rate.

Honestly, I'm just not keen on the idea of linking in-game performance with real-world loss. It raises the stakes far more than I find interesting.

As for console choice, I'm sure PS3 exclusivity came about due to Xbox Live being MMO unfriendly and Dust514 being connected to Eve Online. I'm not sure why they are not releasing a PC version though. IMO, a PC version based on a F2P model would be the way to go on something like this.

I understand why they went with the PS3 over the 360. What I don't understand is why they went with the PS3 over the PC. I just don't see this taking off on a console.

@MagGnome - Keyboard/mouse is better in FPS for movement and aiming. I'm guessing they balanced this to play well on console and PC players would hate the slow movement and mouse speed, but that's speculation.
