Do the zombies just randomly spawn in this, or could you possibly clear out an area and maintain a perimeter? Cause that is the kind of game I want to play.

Found some binoculars! That makes things kinda cool, I guess. Someone mentioned earlier the game has a Stalker vibe to it, and I agree. It's creepy, desolate, and murderous out there.

Hahahah Beans are the mind killer.

Are bandits AI characters or PvP flagged players?

PVP. Only zombies are AI.

Players become bandits after killing 3 other players and get a special uniform for that.

Played a 15 minute of cat and mouse with a PK'er who snuck up behind me (in the dark!) and fired a few rounds at me while I was slowly cleaning a farm of zombies. I took at least one round, but I managed to sprint away and hide in the bushes before he could finish me. I watched him scouting the perimiter as I bandaged myself, then I began to hunt him.

I'd like to be able to say that I turned the tables and defeated him, but I sadly ran out of bullets when we came across one another. Still exciting, though.

Man that is awesome. Sad you didn't get to take him out. The number of times I have run out of bullets in a heated engagement can't be easily counted

I think the formulation of a party would only occur through luck and triumph through adversity. Spawns are random, which makes it hard to hook up on a map that seems equivalent in size to a few WoW zones strung together.

Nighttime is no freaking joke. Not that I can take any part of the game for granted, but the darkness really ramps up the creepiness. What's worse than being alone in a small town full of zombies with five bullets and an open wound? All that happening in utter darkness.

Seem to have it working. Got the Six Updater and just sort of mashed on things until it worked...

Now I need a group. A mentor, even.

The coast is a perpetual warzone, so I said fuck it and made for the hills. Had a sweet run where I cleared some farmsteads, including one where there were more zombies than I had bullets. There was a winchester underneath a zombie's feet, and I lured them off so I could run in and grab it.

Once I cleared them away, I continued uphill where I ran into a small town in the woods. Zombies came pouring out of the woodworks as I approached, but I finished them off easily with the Winchester. I stopped at a well to top off my canteens before moving on. As I was slinking around a build that was making suspicious moaning noises, shots rang out from the hills behind me. I ran for cover, but two zombies followed me. I knocked them down with my pistol then dashed off to hide in some bushes. Soon, two players appeared, scanning the area. One went into prone, the other started sweeping the area. I called them out on global chat and told them they were in my sights and should identify as friendly... but they didn't answer. I called to them again, but this time with bullets. One of them died, and the other finally answered back. He hit me with a rifle, and I had to slink away and bandage myself while he dealt with another zombie that answered his gun's call.

I have the worst luck with cooperation in this game. I died from bleeding out in that incident, and I promptly respawned in front of a bandit's gun barrel. After that respawn, I very quickly came across my first sniper rifle, at which point I logged off. I'm gonna get some sleep and then put that puppy to good use once I'm rested up. I'm not even going to give the courtesy of a warning if I think someone's shooting at me, next time.

Edit: And I'm 90% sure that when I was ambushed by those two yokels, I was staring straight at the first working vehicle I'd seen in the game. I'd never seen a vehicle that looked like that one before, and it was lacking the usual burnt-out-husk look.

Well, that was fun.

I spent a good 2-3 hours creeping aimlessly in the dark. Having no idea where anything is and barely able to see at night, I just headed toward the nearest interesting structure I could see.

I walked or crouched everywhere, and dropped a couple of zombies with headshots before they knew I was there. I saw a few other players, but they were always running by way in the distance, and I tended to avoid them.

In my blind wandering, I stumbled across an area with tents and sandbags that seemed like some kind of medic post. In two tents, there was an AK-74, AKM, Lee Enfield, and an M-16. (I eventually chose the M-16.) Also, a hand grenade, and a 200-round belt for a LMG. In two other tents, dozens of bandages, painkillers, morphine injectors, epi-pens, and blood packs. It was as frustrating as it was thrilling as I tried to decide what to cram in my dinky little bag.

Ya that is a great pic to indicate just how terribly dark it is. Last night I started on the beach and just a bit of moonlight. Took out a sniper with my macarov. He fired at another player. I snuck up behind him and added some orifices
