Harley Quinn DLC, GOTY Announced for Batman Arkham City

Rocksteady Games and WBIE today announced a game of the year edition of Batman Arkham City which will include all of the previously released DLC, including the new "Harley Quinn's Revenge" content pack.

We don't yet know what the Harley DLC will entail, but it will presumably be released on May 29 alongside the GOTY edition. The new version of the game includes the Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing DLC packs, as well as all of the challenge rooms and skins. It also includes the 'Batman Year One' animated film (it doesn't say if it's on-disc or a download code).

You know, I seem to remember there being a discussion a while back about DLC wherein somebody in the industry said that one big reason to release Day One DLC was because there's a pretty narrow window in which most of your players are playing the game, and this really hit that home for me. I might have been interested in this DLC back when I was playing Arkham City, but I'm certainly not going to buy it now. I've moved on to other games.

Actually, I might actually be interested in this if it involved more story content and specifically followed up on that Easter Egg from Harley/Joker's apartment from after you beat the game.

There are some disturbing implications in
playing as a newly pregnant Harley Quinn through challenges that will involve her potentially getting hit repeatedly.

The fine print on the above trailer says the Batman Year One is available on xbox live and psn and requires an internet connection. Sounds like a download code to me.

Ink, an excellent point, though I think it's probably even more problematic if, as other places have suggested, you're not actually playing as Harley but as Robin, potentially beating up on Harley.

I'm not sure why they think I would want to play as their shitty version of Robin. Even this far outside of this game's window of interest (and we're WAY the fuck out there) I would have bought DLC where you play as Harley. I'm not going to buy DLC where I play as Robin.... especially not this Robin.

That cover art isn't horribly obnoxious at all.

Even Batman can't handle being assaulted by that much marketing material.

It's like they loaded a shotgun with logos and blurbs and shot Batman in the face.

Also I think it needs a dancing Jesus.

I can see the conversation at WB Games: "Do we really need Batman on there? He's taking up some valuable space."

That may be the absolute worst cover art I've ever seen. Mostly because of how they're disgracing Batman.

Some story DLC finally? Oh well, bit late for me, I traded mine in ages ago when I saw all the DLC lined up was challenge rooms and skins.

I clearly missed something.

Also, looks like Tapatalk 2 broke spoiler tags.
