One of my favorite asian foods of all is Korean bulgogi. I hear that in Korea, it's very common to have bulgogi pizza. I am stoked about that. |

There's a place here called Mesa Pizza that makes all kinds of odd pies. I think that they have one that involves some sort of Chinese food. I'll double check.
Edit - Apparently not, but they do have a large variety of pizza toppings.

![]() Seriously though, it's like a half-day project. I marinate, roast and stir-fry the pork shoulder, he rocks the dough, and we somehow manage not to strangle one another. A few hours later, several dozen little heavenly buns come out of the steamer and everyone stuffs themselves silly. It's enough of a pain that we pretty much only do it for birthdays and holidays, though. Damn, now I have a bao craving. Grrr.

ONE FUCKING BOX

Egg rolls, General Tsu chicken, and pork fried rice.
I've expressed the desire to one day create a big ass egg roll. Like that would be the main dish. Like the size of a big burrito.

This thread made me hungry for orange chicken. Or the fried rice from that dingy, almost-greasy spoon place we ordered from when I was a kid.
Damn this thread. |

I'm pretty sure that any food you could ever imagine is available somewhere in San Francisco. We have a fantastic dining scene here in the Twin Cities, but San Francisco is on a level I have never experienced anywhere else.

My absolute favorite is Lemongrass Tofu, though that is from a Vietnamese place. They also serve a Szechwan Chicken that is unlike any I have had. Other mainstays are Hot and Sour soup, combination Lo Mein and Hunan Chicken. Of course egg roll and crab rangoon as well.
Every time I go to a Chinese restaurant, I catch myself wondering if anything I order is authentic or Americanized.

Food in SF and the Bay Area at large is the best in the world, as far as I know. And it's ridiculously affordable.
One thing LA has, though, is a ton of food trucks. The food truck phenomenon is all about fitting every menu item from every cuisine in the world into a taco or burrito. Korean tacos and burritos are available at every mile stone. |
