Seriously? That's pretty amazing if true.
So if you get a multiplayer character to level 20, promote it to single-player, then finish one playthrough and start a second one, both playthroughs will have that character as a War Asset? |

@Ink - Yep. I tend to choose Geth because if you have Quarian Infiltrators in your group, it makes them easy, and Cerebus turrets can bullshit kill from across some maps. The netcode is evil too. . . you can lag while moving past a turret and fetch a packe that says you are dead - bad design.

I can't speak for games made after the promotion, but both my original and new game have it.

Am I the only one who feels like 75 points is nothing for all the work you did to get a character to level 20? I feel like it should be at least twice as much. 75 is chump change considering how many points you get over the course of just playing through the game.

75 points is pretty good compared to other resources. ME2 squadmates that you kept alive and completed the mission for are only 25 points. Plus just playing multiplayer consistently can potentially double your entire readiness score. The 75 points is to compensate for going back to level 1 on that character class again.

I must not be familiar enough with Quarian Engineers and/or unable to detect a joke, because I don't see anything related to Engineers in those notes.

Sabotage is the Quarian Engineer's defining skill, and it's extremely powerful against the Geth.

My Quarian Engineer doesn't have Sabotage, unless it's listed somewhere else.
EDIT: I see what the problem was. You were both talking about Quarian INFILTRATORS.

In any case, I'm switching back to Cerberus for gold farming. The Asari Adept is once more king, err, I suppose queen.

Salarian energy drain. Quicker cooldown than sabotage, hits for an aoe that affects anything in a radius, does more damage than overload, and restores shield based on how many enemies are in the radius. A good Salarian engineer can lock down multiple geth enemies with this and decoy on pretty much any difficulty level.

Salarian Engineer is, indeed, awesome.
So the last game I played before bed bagged me enough credits for a new Spectre pack, which contained a Geth sniper rifle that has thermal imaging and can see through walls D: Can't wait to try that bad boy out, with the armour piercing mod. I do wish there were a way to reset your talent trees. What's with the "special" pack in the store at the moment?

Special pack is just equipment, i.e. missile launchers, medi-gel and the like, in about increments of 5. Truly handy if the packs aren't giving you certain equipment, like missile launchers in my case. Also, there is totally a respec item that you can get from the packs but it is a rare (gold) so you need to have some luck, or be like me and have no luck and get it instead of a weapon or character, to get it.

I finally got over my fear of being horrible at multiplayer and upsetting people, and tried it out tonight. It was awesome.
I ended up playing for a few hours.I bought a Spectre pack and got a Quarian engineer and I think a Salarian engineer. I also bought a recruit pack to see what kind of stuff was in it. Should I just keep saving up and stick to Spectre packs, or should I buy some Veteran packs to fill out my options? Right now I'm playing a Human engineer and still have the starter weapons, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm mainly spamming Overload, and I also plan on sticking with Bronze for a while. If the only worthwhile stuff is in Spectre packs, I have no problem waiting to get it, but if Veteran packs have some decent stuff, it might be nice to expand the weapons options and get some mods. |

According to one of the loading messages that geth rifle has armor/cover/enemy pierce built-in, you don't need to use the mod. Same for widow/black widow. It definitely has that trait in SP by default. ![]() I've switched to Cerberus for Gold, no need for new Geth tactics.

There's a possibility of getting gold (rare) items in packs other than the Spectre pack, it's just rarer. However, I don't think it's possible to get a common or uncommon in a Spectre pack. I would recommend buying Veteran packs until you've got most of the Uncommon items you want.
There's a list of the items and their rarity on the wiki. |

I really disliked SMGs during the demo. That is, until I picked up a Kassa Locust. Great gun, it's got a nice balance between fire rate and accuracy. I use it on my human Adept.
I also got Asari Vanguard, though I think I like Asari Adept better. |
