This quote from Gameradar (via Co-optimus) has me very excited about the anonymous co-op in the game:

I don't think there's any way to do that. As far as I know, you run into people randomly who happen to be online and in the same general area as you and can't specifically invite people to join you.

An early review is up at Joystiq.
In short, the review says it's an awesome game, using the original meaning of the word. Either alone or with a randomly found player. The game length put under a spoiler tag for those who don't want to know in advance: Reading the review really makes me hope that I'm lucky enough to get a good partner for the game that will stick around for the whole experience and not intentionally break the mood. Enigma Of The Mystical

I could easily seeing it take longer than that. What I played at PAX, I took forever, and not because I was learning the controls. I was trying to immerse myself in the setting and there was no rush in doing that. Exploring, walking instead of running, moving the camera around...all of that went into trying to put myself in this place, this void and trying to become the character.
It was beautiful. |

Good to hear. I could see myself doing the same. I fully intend to give myself at least twice that amount of free time in case it takes me that long. Even if that means not playing Mass Effect 3 at all that night.

I'm almost as excited for this game as I am for Mass Effect 3, and that's saying a LOT.

Wait the game is under 2 hours?! I know it's quality not quantity but I was fooled by the hype/critical acclaim over flOw and then Flower (which was a lot better than flOw but still not "worth" the price).
The game looks interesting but I'm going to wait till there's a 50% deal or something.

The review I read said "roughly two hours," and others who have tried the game have said that it can take longer if you take your time and enjoy the sights.
Personally, $15 for an amazing two hour experience is about what I'd pay for a movie, either in the theater or on DVD, so it's worth it to me. Especially if it's as incredible as the reviews say. I can understand people who will wait for a deal, though. |

Update is not official yet but if you search for Journey you can download it now. (If you have Plus) It's downloading painfully slow though.....like 1% every 2 or 3 minutes slow.
Edit: 42% after nearly an hour and a half. Laaaame. Now that I think of it, probably Mass Effect 3 is the problem. It's 14GB. I pay for Plus, give me some dad gum priority slots!
