All discussions on trades, waivers, etc. can all be posted in here seeing as things are going to start heating up between now and the 27th of February as is common knowledge to all you puckheads out there.

I hope not, I am really not a fan of luongo. he can be a great goalie but he lets stuff get in his head too easy. I would much rather see lu on the trading block than schneider, although that contract makes it hard. Hopefully Eddie lack is an nhl stud if schneider goes.

Massive overpayment for a soon to be UFA. Also where would he fit in in your top 6? Apparently he'll want $5 mill per season too on his next contract so that's a pretty stiff pay for a rental. I think the Canucks could get more for Schneider. Also why would the Canes do this? They have Cam Ward. They don't need a new number 1 goalie.

Somebody needed to start the discussion.

Seriously, though, the Canucks will need to get something for Schneider as well as dumping a salary (Ballard) to make room for something in return.

Basically, though, Schneider and Ballard are going to move, it all just depends on where. I would still love to see Weber in a Canucks uniform.

There has been talk of Perry to the canucks, which I would welcome. all i can say after looking through the contracts, 2013-2014 is gonna hurt.

Edit: If schneider is traded before I come up to vancouver to see a game, I am starting my own riot.

Back to Schneider...general consensus is Gillis will not trade him unless it's the "perfect deal". Anything less and the fans will rip him a new one.

Ballard needs to go still. Salo is a UFA, but will probably retire even though he is actually having one of his better years.

Rick Nash wants out of Columbus. Rangers and the Canucks supposedly sniffing around.

I would love to see him in a Canucks uniform, but at what cost? Schneider for sure, but we would have to drop some more salary...Kessler...Ballard for another cheaper D and C?

Nash to the Leafs?? I'd love it (even though he's not the center we need) but I don't want to sell the farm for him. Carter would be more feasible but it's not a contract Burke likes so I doubt the Leafs get either one.

All I know is the Caps need to be stronger up the middle, especially with Backstrom out. I have heard rumors of pulling guys from the Blue Jackets.
