What Universe would you live in?

If you could pick any universe from games to books to movies to live in, where would you pick? Middle Earth, Marvel Universe, Mushroom Kingdom, Mass Effect, Hyrule, Firefly, or the land of Bollywood music videos where people sing and dance in the street? Maybe the land of impossible boob physics where the girls from Dead or Alive live.

I think we did this before. I would definitely live in Mushroom Kingdom. Endless supply of mushrooms that make you fly high? Why not?

1. X-Men....I'd love to be a mutant. But not with a shitty power. I want to control magnets. Fucking miracles man.

2. Trigun. I fucking loved that anime. But I'd want to be Vash

3. Vampire Hunter D. But not as a weakling human. Either as a vamp or a vamp hunter.

after having seen Dune for like the 3rd time in a week...

A universe where every well-known sci-fi/fantasy movie that has random minor roles...they have Sting.

as I walk through fields of gold...in Harkonnen battle panties.

like Jurassic Park for instance...instead of the asian guy telling Dr. Grant and folks that all the dinosaurs are female...it's Sting.

Aliens - you don't have Spunkmeyer. You have Sting.

Predator - Hawkens is sooo Sting.

He at least got a larger role in LOTR...sorry Mr. Dourif. Sting got to be wormtongue.
He also got Mr. Dourif's spot in Alien Resurrection...

In Return of the Jedi he's the A-wing pilot who crashes into the super star destroyer
Empire strikes back, he's Dack.
but in New Hope he's one of the imperial officers in the detention center.

In terminator, he's one of the street punks who gets killed with bill paxton.

In The Thing, he's the Norwegian guy who gets shot in the face.

it's like a game...he fits in like everywhere...

Hawkins

I'm sensitive about this, as we share the name.

It depends. If I had to stay me, I think I'd like to live in Mayberry. Of course, I'm married, have kids, and have a boring, safe life anyway.

Second Choice? Harry Potter, as a wizard, post Voldemort.

Third? OK. This world.

DC Universe (Metropolis) is probably the most obvious one.

I would also like to live in the world created for Waterworld.

For Krispy's sake, I also have to say Naboo.

As a powerful channeler in the Wheel of Time world, or
As a powerful magician in Midkemia (Raymond E Feist's world)

Sometimes I also wonder about what it would be like if I could travel back in time on this planet, and introduce advanced technology into our past.

Would be interesting to be a Mentat, come to think of it, or even the kwisatz haderach.

I almost said DCU but;

If you live in Gotham, you have life expectancy of 25 with 'stabbed by maniacal clown' the leading cause of death.

If you live in Coast City, Mongul will come and destroy all of the city or Sinestro will drop a yellow thingamajog on your building.

If you live in Fawcett City, it's kinda nice and calm and peaceful, except when the universal reboot happens and you are wiped off existence because your superhero is better than Superman.

If you live in Star City...

You people are fucked in the head. No way would I live in any of those universes. Constant war, danger of death, other nasty shit all the damn time.
I'll go with Little Big Planet, or Leisure Suit Larry, something relaxed with fun and boobies.

If I had to be me, like I just pop into the universe in a place of my choosing, I would say Star Trek and live on Earth. Great medical advances, lots of fun stuff to do, no need to worry about money. I doubt that I would be a very productive citizen, but whatever. Probably too old and out of shape to join Star Fleet.

If I could be someone else, or altered in some way, I would choose The Chronicles of Amber and be a Prince of Amber. Immortality? Check. Super human strength and rejuvenation? Check. Ability to go wherever the fuck I want? Check. Hell, as a Prince of Amber I could probably stroll into the Star Trek setting without issue, and run the whole place. I'm not terribly ambitious either, so I don't think I would run into too much trouble with the rest of the family.

I suppose the world of Looney Toons wouldn't be so bad either, if I could be a toon.

two choices
1. TNG/DS9 Universe
2. that porno universe where I could be a pizza guy for a living and all the deliveries I made were hot ladies looking for some sausage with their pizza.

Some of you are really creative. I have to say that the universe of Star Trek sounds appealing. About as close to a utopia as I can imagine. Plus... green alien chicks.

Star Trek's a damn good call, hard to go wrong with a genuine utopia.

I'd take a shuttle to DS9 and proposition Garak.

Sci-Fi: Mass Effect - Preferably after Mass Effect 3, when the biggest threat to the galaxy will presumably be over.

Yeah, it's not as peaceful as Star Trek, but I think the aliens, technology, and style are more interesting. The galaxy is a lot more connected, and you can go from one end to the other in a matter of hours. No wormholes needed, no getting stuck in the Delta Quadrant for years.

Also, while there is a lot of death, there are also trillions of people/aliens. The death tolls from the various wars and other conflicts are just scaled up from normal.

Runner-up: Firefly

Fantasy - The Mushroom Kingdom - Yeah, I'm classifying it as fantasy. Deal with it. Sure, depending on the game there's modern technology, but largely the universe is filled with castles and caves and fantastical creatures. Most traditional fantasy universes are pretty sucky for the average person.

The only downside would be the shortage of human women that aren't already dating plumbers.

Runner-up: Azeroth (Warcraft)
