Phantom Breaker Coming to North America
I'll freely admit that I've never heard of Phantom Breaker, a fighting game from Japanese developer 5pb. According to an unnamed source this is a "big f'd deal", so I felt like I should post it. Is my unnamed co-worker correct, or is he just enamored with any Japanese fighting game? Look for Phantom Breaker early this year on the 360. |

Well, it's a somewhat big deal possibly that 5pb is looking into breaking into the American market.
I'll buy this if it means I can get a localized version of Steins;Gate...please?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the animation framesets for each char are kinda on the low side? Maybe I haven't watched enough 2D fighters recently. I could swear Guilty Gear had smoother animation than this though.

Two things:
1. That video did a real poor job of telling me why this is better, or even different, from other 2D fighters. 2. I wonder what made them decide to put this on the 360 instead of the PS3? That gives it a pretty low ceiling for sales in Japan. Quote:

Meh, if there's no ps3 version I won't even go there with the d-pad. Is this boxed? Cause a full price tag would make me care even less seeing how it looks.

Wow, that looked terrible.
As Bandango said, cliched as hell, and as danhoo said, the animation is fucking awful... like 2 - 3 frames per animation awful.
