Sound issues
I just recently purchased this laptop, and everything is great except audio is too quite.
I found some posts suggesting going in to the THX software and changing it to External speakers, which probably resulted in a 25% boost in volume. I would say my Studio 17 has easily 50-100% louder volume out of speakers. What I don't get is, I have a Turtle Beach USB surround sound spdif card I use to power my EarForce X41 surround headphones and..... they are quite as hell. I just don't get it, I could previously cause my teeth to hurt with this combo, now I can only make the volume barely irritating. Even more odd, if I enabled the EQ in the turtle beach control panel it easily doubles the volume, so its a software issue obviously. I tried removing the THX software, but it didn't work. Any suggestions?
