Konami has announced a January 31 release date for their new action-shooter, Neverdead. In Neverdead you play as an immortal demon hunter as he tries to stop an apocalypse. Gameplay includes using your severed limbs as weapons and projectiles, and to open up inaccessible new areas.

Oddly it's being released the same day as both Soul Calibur 5 and Final Fantasy XIII-2, so we're onto the first post-holiday rush just a month into the new year.

I really like the cusccenes, some of the designs are just too freaky. The game looks kinda shabby though.

I'm actually very interested, just so long as they don't half-ass it. Soul Calibur and Final Fantasy aren't even on my radar.

This ^. NeverDead looks like something new, gameplay wise, could be fun.

The problem with this game is that there were two games that came out that were 3rd person as well from Japan. Both were received poorly while Dark Souls made an impact and hit an itch that gamers around the world weren't getting anywhere else. This seems interesting but..I just gotta know more.
