Just doing a brief search, a long weekend return flight for two, leaving Friday returning Monday, starts from around £480 per person. Not impossible.
Don't get your hopes up, but it's certainly doable. Mrs Squid thinks if we do it we should go for a couple of weeks.

I would imagine your case coming from overseas a long stay would be planned. I actually wouldn't mind doing more than a weekend but hotel fees stack.

So when we all get there, whats the first order of action? BBQ at Civil's?

Then we can put the bullshit waffle vs pancakes argument to rest for all time. Someone picks and ingests a ton of waffles, someone else picks and ingests a ton of pancakes, and the first person to puke ( after mass consumption of alcohol ), officially causes their food to be the weak stepchild for the remainder of history.


Then we can resolve the whole caterday issue with a good ole fashion cat throwing contest. If that doesn't work, we can always break out the blenders for a fusion of Caturday and "Will it Blend!"

@Serapth:I'm strongly considering it. I've got a lot going on right now, trying to get my life a little more orderly, but it's a strong possibility.

Also, I said a good midway point. Like Supe's said...you'd prefer Wichita? Everything north of Texas sucks and flights to Texas are generally relatively inexpensive from anywhere. The folks from California and Florida would have a pretty steep cost going to NYC when compared to Austin.

I mean, it already seems settled, I just wanted to correct how wrong you are. Not that you being wrong is particularly unusual...it's really more of your calling card.
