Looking at flights. About 700-750 Canadian to fly to New York.

950 to go to Vegas then fly to New York and then back home. Stupid airlines.

Man, where from? Hopefully you aren't looking at AirCanada flight a, they are a fucking joke! Porter from Toronto is 120$ for the Saturday, 150 return on the Sunday... before I moved I did all my domestic flights out of Detroit as it was literally 1/3 the price.

The flights I'm looking at are still pretty cheap and I should be able to swing it once I determine flight costs.

Anybody else plan on flying in Thursday and staying until Monday?

I would probably do Friday till Sunday or similar as I do have a kid to take care of. That said, I haven't looked at hotel costs yet.... scared to in fact.

Edit... yep, as i expected. 250-300$ a night. Either that price, or 100$ish with a 1 star rating...

This is the NYC part that sucks had... no motel 6 or holiday in option...

Okay, I updated the OP. Serapth, stay away from Manhattan if you're planning on getting a place solo. And don't be such a pussy; I've stayed in places where I had to fight the cockroaches for the shower.

EDIT: For example, there is a La Quinta inn here in Brooklyn that's $139 USD/night. Sneak a few CoGgers in there and you can get it for dirt cheap.
