Fallout New Vegas Gets 2 More DLC Packs Today
![]() Bethesda is dropping a pair of new content packs for Fallout New Vegas today, and there's a decent chance these will be the last 2 modules for it. "Courier's Stash" is a collection of the various packs given out as pre-order bonuses. The packs - The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack - include new weapons, items and apparel. It will cost 160 MSP/$2. The "Gun Runner's Aresnal" adds 27 new weapons, 40 new weapon mods, and 5 new achievements to the Mojave. It will cost 320 MSP/$4. You can see the new weapons at Bethesda's Blog. |

The Gun Runners arsenal is pretty cool. That's the only you'd want to get*
Apparently will be available later today on Steam and PSN as well. God, I'm still elated that they dropped the woeful GFWL.

I didn't get as hooked on NV as FO3, so I'll probably wait for the GOTY edition with all the DLC.

If this is indeed the last DLC, I, like many others, am hoping for a GOTY announcement soon. Is there any expectation that it will arrive before the end of the year? As I recall the one for Fallout 3 came out pretty darn close to when the last DLC came out for that game.

Seeing as I'm right in the middle of this game more DLC is great.
Playing it on hardcore is a helluva challenge but very enjoyable. I wish I'd had some of the weapons from NV in FO3.

Both of these are pleasant surprises. I like the Pre-Order packs, I have the one from Steam and I really liked having the Sturdy Caravan Shotgun as a constant companion and fallback weapon on my journey through the wastes.
Though, the Arsenal is definitely the better of the two. Looking at what they've added, I'm stoked. |

I like the new gear and weapons. Too bad I was in the middle of nowhere when they dumped all of it on me. I'm only at 438/250 encumbrance. lol Now I gotta slow walk to the nearest settlement which isn't that near.
I like the Trusty Vault 13 Canteen especially.

Don't you have one of the items which gives you temp strength? That's how I always dealt with those situations.

Not that I've come across yet although I don't know of any item that will double your weight load. lol

There are usable items - Buffout I think - which give you temp strength. If you take enough you may be able to move at normal speed - and fast travel - with all that stuff.

I still haven't finished off the main game yet. I've about 20 hours in and haven't really even done anything. I'm a little stuck though, having upset the Legion and gotten ambushed by some of their followers without any stimpacks or strong weapons to speak of... So that sucks.

I'd like to pick this up after I finish with Fallout 3 and the GOTY edition is out. I'll probably snag it sometime next year, given that I'll have my hands on Skyrim soon.
*please oh please let Skyrim not be a buggy mess*

Much like the old pancake mix I discovered at the back of a cabinet, I expect a few bugs in Bethesda games.

But there are Bethesda-level bugs, and Obsidian-level bugs.

True but they've never been game breakers for me anyway.

I don't know...Morrowind had some pretty epic bugs. Actually even after all of the patches it still has some issues, unfortunately. It's a great game, but it could have been even better if Bethesda had some better artists and programmers.
