Ghostbear has also very kindly supplied a mumble server. Details for the server as follows:
Quote:
The Mumble server is currently up. If you have mumble installed you can use this link
mumble://central3.mmo-mumble.com:55556/?version=1.2.0 to take you to it. The password is silver

if you want to add the server manually here is the info:
Server: central3.mmo-mumble.com
Port: 55556
password: silver

Mumble uses certificates rather than passwords to authenticate each user. You'll want to create the cert the first time you fire it up. Do not use the auto cert option.

Once you connect right click on your own name and choose register or authenticate, something like that. This will give you the proper permissions.

You can download Mumble here: https://mmo-mumble.com/help/GetMumble

I am hoping there will be an Alliance chat. However, I already run a Mumble server for my former WoW guild. I am more than willing to buy more slots and have both groups use it. I feel that voice chat while playing an MMO really makes things a lot more fun.

This is the first time I can recall a MMO of this size allowing you to pre-make guilds months before release. This is something that should be encouraged.

Since the TOR PAX Prime line was hours long, I never got to play. Setting aside, what makes you people play this over other MMO's?

Fun. It just is...fun. People can say what they want about the GFX or whatever, but until you play it its hard to guess. I enjoyed it a great deal.

IMPORTANT!
The release dates are: December 20 in North America, and December 22 in Europe.

This potentially means I will not be there to set up the guild on the 20th.
I need a volunteer to take over as Guild Leader, to set up the Guild on launch day, ensuring the smooth transition from the Bioware Guild Page into an active guild in game.
Once I have the game I will happily take the leadership back.

We will also need to coordinate with GhostBear regarding which server to roll on.

I have early access. Depending on if I can get on. I might be able to get the guild going.

Did anyone else think that the release date announcement e-mail was a beta invite?

Are we going to try to have a Republic CoG guild?

Shjinta, when we get closer to release we'll get you bumped to leader so you can set the guild up.
Xydarc, almost definitely, I know I will definitely want to recreate my Smuggler from Beta. But I don't want to have to maintain two guilds in an official capacity. Someone else is free to volunteer to lead the Republic CoG guild.

I still dunno which one to get. The Digital Deluxe or the Regular edition.

20 bucks is a lot, and I dunno if the 'extras' are worth it...

Only if we want to die. A lot.

If no one else wants to, I could do it.

I shouldn't worry too much about the guild leadership Xydarc. I intend to run the CoG guild as a democracy, and share responsibilities with the officers/rest of the guild.

Technically, there should be an unseen overlord who nefariously schemes in a chat channel that only his apprentice can access. The leader doesn't usually do anything other than stare into space and cackle, like my grandma, but he occasionally gives orders to his apprentice.

There are always two Sith. Master and apprentice. The question we must all ask ourselves... is Squid the master? Or the apprentice?

Actually, the Sith philosophy has changed many times over the millennia. The Rule of Two was established by Darth Bane over 2000 years after the Old Republic period. However, this was based on an extreme version of Darth Revan's teachings; the difference being that while Revan believed there should only be two Sith Lords, Bane decided there should only be two Sith period.
