It has been awhile since I laughed so much and so hard watching a Zero Punctuation. Well done. It sounds like yet another shooter done so poorly, it lowers the whole genre.

It's on the DS, and it holds up pretty well. I know it's blasphemy, but I never viewed it as the second coming as so many do, but it's a damn solid game. Especially considering the fact that it came out 15 years ago. Definitely worth picking up, even if only for the still fantastic soundtrack.

He did at least bring up how the cluttered level design and needlessly zoomed out isometric view makes it almost impossible to see what the fuck is going on if you're sitting more than 5 feet from the telly.

I've never played it either. Jrpg's are much like Crpg's. They age like milk. If anyone puts a quantifier before it, I tend to skip. "It's held up pretty well" is not a resounding endorsement when most Jrpg's from a decade+ are more like Chinese Water Torture.

You should play it. It is good. I hadn't played it until the DS re-release and it's one of the few JRPGs I like.

And many JRPGs now are like Chinese Water Torture.

I don't really find this to be the case with jRPGs at all. The 90s were pretty much the golden age for the genre, it's been downhill ever since the FMV came along.

Early Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy are definitely a drag, but 16-bit era is the most full of stuff I'll actually play and enjoy.
