Is my 360 dying again?

So I got EA MMA in today from Gamefly. I put in a few hours with it and suddenly my 360 starts stalling. It just freezes and I can't do anything with the controller. It does this every time I start up the system now about 5 - 10 minutes into playing a game. I let it sit for a couple of hours and it still did the same thing. I figure I'll let it rest overnight and see what happens tomorrow. It may just be overheating because I haven't played it like that in a long time. Anyone have any other ideas? If it dies again I'll probably just chunk it and buy a slim when I can get one.

I'm glad I decided to trade in my launch-era unit that had already died during the Gamestop trade-in promotion when the Slim came out. I paid nearly nothing for it.

So I'd say eventually scrap the model you have...but at this point you might as well run it until it dies unless GS will take it. I don't know what they give for trade-in at this point for those units however. Probably $40 plus extra for the hDD.

Then again, if you haven't played it in a while maybe getting a new one isn't worth it? Do you have a PS3 to play MMA on?

2) Is it an Xbox 360
3) Yes. It's dying.

I'm glad I got a great trade in on a slim. So far Ive had no problems with it, and I love the ability to not have 'the fear' when I turn it on, or flinch whenever there's a slowdown or something.

My launch 360 died for the second time during a power outage here at the house.

Instead of getting it repaired, I purchased a new Alienware M11X gaming laptop.

My wife liked it so much, that she got one for herself!

Well, it stalled again today. About 5 minutes after loading my game I heard a quick beep and it stalled. I'm gonna clear any saves I want off it with my USB drive, delete the hdd and get it over to Gamestop Saturday and trade it in. Hopefully I get enough to cover EA MMA on PS3.

It's not dead....yet....but it is coughing up a lung and blacking out occasionally. I'm hoping I can fool them into taking it for full working credit since it will play a game for ~ 10 min.

Turns out it stalled on them in the store but I still got enough for EA MMA on PS3 with my accessories. I was happy with it.
