US PSN Update 9/14

Get comfortable, this is a rather large update with quite possibly the largest amount of demos we've ever seen in a single update. Space Invaders Infinity Gene and Worms 2 are probably the highlights of this week's update, but there's plenty of stuff on sale for those looking for a deal. Konami's two PS1 Castlevania games are both on sale, as well as a number of Capcom games, including Mega Man 9. Some rather attractive bundles were also put up, with the best deal probably being Tales of Monkey Island 1 and 2 for all of $7.50. We also see the PS1 classic Soviet Strike released, as well as this week's slate of retail PSP games and minis. The full update from the PlayStation Blog:

I hated it. I enjoyed Extreme enough, but IG just seemed to random and annoying. Maybe if I were still in my younger days of, um, chemical experimentation, but not now.

Yeah, I just came in here to post that, I'll be grabbing that as soon as I get the kids to bed tonight.

This was a nice update. I downloaded several demos last night and now it looks like I need to download another from the EU store. I'm probably going to grab the Monkey Island pack this weekend too.

I'm sure it goes without saying, but I highly recommend both PS1 Castlevanias. Chronicles is a great experience if you like the really classic CV gameplay, with lots of challenge and linear progression, and SOTN is great if you like games that are fun.

Also, Maverick Hunter X for you PSP owners is a great remake.

I bought Tumble even though I don't have my Move yet. Also bought the Aquarium game, though I'm not sure it was a good idea. It is more of a light sim screensaver than a game, but at least it has unlockable fish and trophies. Also bought the Magic Orbz level bundle.

Downloading Castlevania: SOTN. Love that I can just dump it on my PSP.

I loved Infinity Gene on the iPhone and so it was easy for me to grab the PS3 version. I can understand it not being for everyone but I think it's lovely
