Monday Night Combat Media Blitz
The second video in the developer walkthrough series, the depth of the Support role really shines though. T-minus 4 days and 15 hours until Monday Night Combat is available for purchase on Xbox Live. For 1200 points ($15US) the first game from Uber Entertainment is looking to entice you with an incredible amount of depth for a multiplayer game let alone a downloadable one. On the menu for this team based shooter buffet are six different classes. Each of those classes is packing four upgradeable skills, multiple weapons with multiple modes of fire, and you can customize each of those classes with dozens of endorsements to change the way they play. We've previously covered the development with hands on previews from PAX East and E3 as well a two different developer interviews. In case you missed them, Uber has been busy posting to youtube a plethora of videos to show you what they have to offer. Head over to their youtube channel or use the handy directory below. Tank Class Walkthrough Support Class Walkthrough Sniper Scouting Report Assassin Scouting Report Ammo Mule Commercial LazeRazor Commercial Sponsor List And today I'll be visiting the Uber offices for some hands on playtime of the final version of the game and to bring you a behind the scenes look for what may be the next XBLA blockbuster title. Hit the thread below and post any questions you'd like me to ask of the Uber folk and to give me suggestions of how to try and smuggle out some of their amazing looking vinyl character statues. |

I'd like to know how much they plan on supporting the game post launch ( a stock question, I know). More maps (it ships with four) and stuff, sure, but also will they be keeping an eye out for needed patches? Also, if this sells well, would they be willing to make a sequel, or would they just add 'expansion packs' to main game to keep it alive? Would they like to make more, bigger retail games, or are they happy where they are?
As far as sneakng out those statues, people in prison sneak stuff around all the time... |

Even if that description was apt, that'd still be a buy, not a pass.

Might be a blatant attempt to cash-in on TF2's success, but that still looks fun as hell.

Man, this game sure is getting a ton of hype around here, at least as far as news posts go. I'm still not sold, mostly because it's an XBLA game. If the game is good, and we get a decent number of CoG folks playing it, I might bite. As it stands, TF2 Thursdays are just fine with me.
I'm not trying to be a complete hater. The game actually looks really good and surprisingly deep, and I wouldn't have guessed it was a downloadable game had I not already known. I've just been burned with XBLA multiplayer experiences before. Very much a flavor-of-the-week type of thing. |

Its true I do. But i've already paid and played TF2 and smashtv(xbla). Will be waiting for reviews and see after a couple of months if the online community is still strong.

You're entitled to think what you like, but if you never play games that resemble, let alone strait up copy, other games, then you'd never play games.

I heard similar, but it's third person. Either way I am extremely keen to try this.

This would be day one for me if it wasn't XBLA. Throw it up on Steam or something and you've got yourself a deal, but that's never going to happen.

As long as work hours work with me I'll be around to play in the evenings. Everything I've seen so far makes the game look more fun as long as you have good teammates.

I am pretty much sold on the game, I just want to see how it handles in my hands, but it looks like it's got the right amount of complexity for it to have legs. |
