Just applied to the Corp... I soloed through a bit of the game a while back, but haven't played in probably over a year... Might be cool to try hooking up with a real Corp and see where it takes me.
Character name is Valen Dakar |

I really need to get on when other people are on or post my skill chart and find someone willing to walk me through what I need to train so I can get a stronger ship / better weapons.
I've been training skills for like 3 months kinda randomly. |

Post the skill chart here, there's plenty of people who can give out advice on what to train.
I really, really want to play again but I have the worst track record with MMO's. EVE is actually the one I played for the longest, 9 whole months. In that time I saw (I think) 4 war decs, about a dozen corp ops (including at least 3 instances of utterly destroying an asteroid belt with our mighty mining ships), lots of pewpew and multiple big fights. It certainly isnt boring, just tedious at points. |

If I want to fight what should i train?
I am on a quest where I have to kill the leader of the angel pirates. he has a spider drone. i have a medium slot propulsion damper but I need to train a couple electronics skills (or just 1) but I"m not sure how to train skills. It looks like i have to buy skills when i click on the tab but I'm wondering if the price changes depending on what station i'm at? Do I sound like I have no idea what I'm doing? probably, but I'm super new. |

As for what to train, it never hurts to train High Speed Maneuvering to enable the use of proper afterburners and (I think it's called) Energy Manipulation to get access to cap boosters. As for weapons training, it's usually based around which type of ship you fly since they offer bonuses to a set type of weapon. The list goes like: Caldari: Missiles Gallente: Hybrid/Drones Minmatar: Railguns Amarr: Energy And yes, you have to be in the home station to apply. Edit: Dont wall of text something then read the next post. |

Just so everyone's aware, my subscriptions to EVE are currently running out soon and am hoping to get a new Director in the corp to help out with new apps and maybe get some ops going. As always, I'll be back. EVE never leaves my sight for too long.

Thanks CES, I'm minmatar so I'm going to start on those rail guns. I should probably finish the tutorial missions before making my way to shihuken right? I'm at Eystur/haudaugago right now and it might be a long trip.

I just got the ability today (I think), just give me some time to sort myself out, figure out what all these buttons/tabs are for, and you'll be behind our bars in a jiffy.

Well, if you want to stick with Gallente, then your best option is the Brutix for now. It's a Gallente Battle Cruiser. I personally prefer the Myrmidon, but that is a more drone intensive ship. The Brutix is basically the big brother of the Thorax. I can post the fitting I would use a bit later if you like, or you can google some.

I second the nomination of the Brutix as a replacement for your Wangship. It'll serve you well till you get your hands on a 'Thron.

Brutix > Myrmidon
On EVE, I'm a drone hater by character and choice. ![]() Ain't gonna let no drone do the dirty work for me; I get my own hands dirty and damn loving it.

I will give the Brutix a looksie. I'll take any recommendations for fittings. I'm using some medium turrets or whatever ya wanna call it and thats it really. Medium shield I think.

Brutix:
High: All T2 medium turrets Mid: 1x Webber 3x cap recharger Low: armor repper, t2 dmg mod, DCU II, 2x dmg resist (forgot mod name) I think the above is correct. One thing, Gallente is NOT a shield tanking race do don't even bother shield tanking them. Sure, there are a very few ships that can shield tank but overall, do not bother.
