I hate Fable 3 and Fallout: NV comes out after the TRU sale. I might wait on Fallout: NV anyways to the GOTY version. It's not Bethesda, but Obsidian likes expansions just as much. Sure something will be around the corner.

Rock Band 3 is the only game on my must-buy list this year. There are a few other games I'm looking forward to, but RB3 is the only one that I know I will buy the day it comes out.

I'm also looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas because of how much I loved Fallout 3. However, I don't have much faith in Obsidian given I haven't liked any of their previous games.

Sly Cooper looks cool, and since I never played the originals I'll likely get it, just not right away. And like Blue, I was pleasantly surprised by the demo for this year's Madden. I absolutely hated the past five Madden games after getting pretty much every previous one at Midnight launches.

Other games mentioned in this thread interest me as well, but I'm not sold on any of them yet:
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Mafia II
Dead Rising 2 (loved the first, but with a new developer, I'm leery)

My 3 must haves are:

Dead Rising 2: 360
Fable 3: 360
Little Big Planet 2: PS3

If I ever manage to spring for something else, I'll consider either Reach or Force Unleashed 2, with bonus petty cash going to Sly Cooper

EDIT: Forgot about DC online :PS3. Not convinced it'll have enough to sell me on the game with a subscription, but I'm intrigued in the beta.

Fallout, Rock Band, AssCreed, Fable are pretty much certainties. Civ 5 and Dead Rising are maybes and while I hadn't heard much about it before, with the praise it's getting here, Mafia 2 is looking good.

  • Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
  • Monday Night Combat
  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
  • Elemental: War of Magic
  • Civilization V
  • Dead Rising 2
  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
  • Dead Space Ignition
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Rock Band 3

Oh man, Good thing I just cut some bills. The underlined games are my "sell my mother if I have to" titles. I have played all of these at E3 and Comic Con, for those of you worried about Dead Rising 2, don't be, it felt like the first game. Lara Croft is tons of fun and Castlevania is one of the better God of War clones I have played.

The prologue demo should give us all a good feel for Dead Rising 2. I'm definitely looking forward to checking that out, and I love the idea of basically giving us a prologue DLC chapter as a demo.

I have been under the impression that it will cost us money for Patient Zero. Perhaps I am wrong! But considering what they're giving us (a headstart on almost every element of the game) I assumed that was the case.

I'm trying to cut down on my gaming purchases, but even then I'm left with
Fallout: New Vegas
Halo: Reach
Fable 3

At least they're not all the same genre I guess.

I may knock Fallout: New Vegas off my list and wait for a GotY, but I don't recall reading anything about DLC for the game. I'm interested in Arcania: Gothic IV but I don't know much about the series, and the new Castlevnia is on my mind, but I'll wait for reviews.

So damn, if I do pass on Fallout, that leaves LBP2 as the only console game I plan on buying, aside from maybe Atelier Rorona and the Sly Cooper Collection.

I thought Sims 3 had been out for a while.

I've been wondering what, if any, games were coming out this fall. Nice to see a list like this.

The only games I'm set on getting day one, no questions asked are Etrian Odyssey 3 and LBP2, and that's mostly because if the awesome CE for LBP. I'll buy RB3 at some point, though I've been playing a lot less of my rhythm games of late. VC2 will also be purchased at some point, though I will probably wait until closer to Christmas or at least until I beat a few of these PSP games.

I still haven't finished Fable 2...

And mafia 2 is also very tempting, given how much I loved the first.

Also, the last bits I read (in GI, so FWIW) said that Patient Zero is still arriving in August as sort of a demo to the real deal which is due out in September. I dunno how accurate that still is, though.
