The Weekly Release

The onslaught continues with almost 150 different gaming SKUs coming out this week across 50+ titles. Of course it's not ALL good, but there's definitely some gems to be had.

One of the biggest releases is Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Gamers will finally be able to enter a post apocalyptic Washington D.C. and shoot mutant rats in the face for experience points.

Of course, you can't get much bigger than a new Guitar Hero release, and Guitar Hero: World Tour is no exception. With a full set of instruments at your disposal, does Activision's latest match up to Rock Band?

The other big title this week, at least we should see it this week, is LittleBigPlanet. After a few issues it looks to finally be hitting store shelves after a brief recall.

Soccer fans will have a tough decision this week as they choose between Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and FIFA 09 for multiple platforms.

On DVD and Blu-Ray there isn't much, well, except for Zombie Strippers starring Jenna Jamenson. No, this isn't a porn.

For the full list hit up TheWeeklyRelease.com including Virtual Console and XBox Live Arcade releases.

I've already picked up LBP and I'm freakin' loving it. I haven't touched any of the creation yet, and the online servers aren't up yet, but the main game is just damn charming and fun to play with. I can't wait to actually go co-op through the levels later on and actually try out the creation.

Both Fallout 3 and Motorstorm: PR will be bought by me eventually, but not for a couple of months yet.

Fallout, LittleBigPlanet, and I would say MotorStorm if I didn't grab both FarCry 2 and Fable II last week, both of which will be put on the back burner once Fallout hits.

No hype for Red Alert 3? That's the title I'm most excited about. It's like a sneak peek to the 3D Starcraft, only it's Red Alert.

I hope the Soviets aren't underpowered again.

I have been playing LBP since Friday and love it. I'm just now starting to tinker with the level creator.

Otherwise, nothing else for me. I'm with Gorvi. Fallout 3 and Motorstorm: PR are both on my radar, but likely not until after the new year. I've still got Dead Space & Fable 2 gathering dust and I haven't even touched a lot of the games I got back at the beginning of September.

I've been playing a lot of LBP. It's a lot of fun but I'm ready for the online content to come up.

I'm really looking forward to Fallout3 but that won't happen until I've played LBP for a good bit. Too many good games, too little time .

I hear you. I'm just getting into Fable 2, now LBP and Fallout 3 hit. Ugh. I really, really wish the gaming world would start realizing there are other times of the year than fall...

Agreed 100%. I've been bored for 3 months now, and suddenly all the games I really want hit in the same 2 weeks. Screw them.

A game like SC4 sold more than a million units I believe in the mid of summer. It probably wouldn't have sold that many if released now. If I was a producer or publisher I would slam my release date on 15th of july next year. Instead of being overrun by everyone else. But they all think they have the best product out there (remember the Stranglehold is going to be number 1 for Christmas shit last year, yeah right, go talk to some real gamers).

I'm still buying F3 and LBP, LBP is nice to co-op with the GF and seems different enough from Fable 2 to play by the side. But F3 is staying in plastic until I'm bored with Fable.

No tough decision between FIFA 09 and Pro Evolution...

This year is a FIFA year for sure...perhaps Pro Evolution will get the kick in the pants that it needs.

I do think this has been a much better year in terms of spreading releases around. It just happens that we have about 4-5 megaton games hitting in the same 3-4 week period. Sigh.

Now I hope the LBP online component is up by the time I get home tonight. I'm having fun with the tutorials and made a very creepy level of me as the sun glaring down at a tiny town, but I want more!

Nothing for me this week, thank goodness.

Maybe Fallout 3 down the line, I will wait a couple of months to see what people are saying. The early impressions are always gushing, so I will wait until they have had some time to simmer to see if this one retains its high praise.

Red Alert 3 comes out this week? Fuck!

The last ben10 game was Kid's God of War. It'll be a decent purchase for the young ones.

EDIT: Pro Evo is out as well. woh!

Ordered the Premier edition of Red Alert for the Soundtrack alone. Hopefully we can get some cog game night matches going. A friend bought World Tour and its pretty fun, Played over 6 hours straight yesterday and my hand almost fell off at the end. I'm still on the fence over Fallout 3, I Don't know if I should pull the trigger or gamefly it.
