Yes folks, it's time again that I would like to see your gaming area. You know, the computer room, The game room.. whatever you call it. I'd like to see how and where your games are played.

Got Cables everywhere? Got a 100 inch plasma tv? You got a SNES hooked up to your 13 inch? let's see it!


Here is mine. There is no DirectTV in this room (yet). I decided I wanted it only for Internet and gaming.. NO TV No stereo.

My kids aren't allowed to bring in any toys and aren't allowed to bring in food. it's ONLY for my gaming pleasure. Sometimes my six year old is on the Imac while my son is playing X360 while I am on the PC. The Wii is in the living room. I currently only have a Xbox360 connected to my TV.

I have some cool posters to hang up but I want to put them into frames first.

And yes those are my Transformers next to the couch.

Here is mine.
The first 2 are the living room and the wall where the project displays No screen was big enough without being over 500.00 so I just used high return paint.

Ignore the dust on EVERYTHING. We are cutting down a room and plastering and painting it and that shit has destroyed my anti-dust rule. Hell I even put the monitor screens back on because it was so thick.

That was it about 2 or 3 years ago. Since then I've moved into a bigger space and upgraded my hardware a bit. I'll post a couple pictures of its current state tomorrow (after I tidy up a bit) but I like posting these because my new room is toned back quite a bit as a reflection of my age/taste. Its alot cleaner and less cluttered, but I still like looking at these old pictures. My entire room was a display.

I wish my basement was pimped. We just do laundry and store shit down there. And the cats shit there too. I have a work bench and some tools but I'm a gamer not a handyman.

Water gets into the basement during extreme heavy rains, from the base of the foundation and even minute cracks in the floor itself. It has to rain pretty hard and long for there to be any signs of water, and even then I have a sump pump...but I'd be frightened to put anything electronic down there, though it's dry 99% of the time. Someday we may look into fixing that, but I have a feeling I'll be down there eventually as our family grows.

I already lost my gaming room and we haven't lived here for a year yet--it became a play room for our son though all my gaming posters are still in there, action figures, along with all my books and the closet is crammed with my gaming stuff. Our living room is a "dual room", with the living and tv watching in one area and in the other half (which could be a dining I suppose, since it was marketed as such when we bought the place) I have my desk, 360, and 32" tv. I should take a picture of it though it's in massive disarray right now.

But I love the pictures, keep them coming.

Some of us need to watch Eastern Promises.

My setup for the past year and a half below. It's going to be this way until we move in the summer. It's changed little since Metroid Prime 3 came out.


The wall of entertainment. I could do a little more to hide some cables, but it's not worth it. They are largely inconspicuous and there's no way to get rid of them completely. The TV is a 55" LCD that only does up to 720p/1080i. We're cutting back on the number of DVDs on display by ripping and storing them on an external HDD. That's why you only see a couple dozen out.

That's a Premium 360 with a black face but I recently upgraded to an Elite.

This changed a lot. Remove Roku player, and Wiimote charge stand. Throw in WDTV Player with lots of storage attached. I keep all my game discs in the CD books you see there, with the cases and books in mint condition in my closet.

There's an aging laptop, with about 70% of my wife's and my books behind the sofa.

Another shot for perspective. It's about 8-10 feet between the TV and sofa. Off to the left here are the hookah, yoga mat and some weights.


You guys seem to have a much better control over your entertainment area's wires than I do.
