[CoG Feature] Glen A. Schofield Interview (VP & General Manager, Sledgehammer)
![]() Glen A. Schofield, VP and General Manager, Sledgehammer Games Today I am proud to present an interview with Glen A. Schofield, VP and General Manager at Sledgehammer Games in two parts (each link/word goes to a part). Glen and his business partner Michael Condrey left Visceral (and EA) around July of last year to start up Sledgehammer with Activision. This interview, of course, comes with impeccable timing, but it wasn't planned that way at all. We've all read and talked about the stuff going on with Activision and Infinity Ward. Yesterday, along with the announcement that the two heads of Infinity Ward were let go, there was also the announcement of an Action/Adventure Call of Duty game coming from Glen's company. We talk about his history in gaming, his love of art (including some pictures of his work), his time at EA, his biggest game to date that he created (Dead Space), the departure and the creation from brick #1 of Sledgehammer Games. Enjoy this two part interview with pictures of the new studio they just moved into last weekend. Glen says it is state of the art and I have no choice but to believe him on that given how open he was with his answers. Part 1 - History/EA Part 2 - Visceral Views/Sledgehammer |
