Scary, I appreciate you braving that mess. So depressing.

Scary, when we finally contact aliens, I hope you're around to translate their messages.

Also, what kind of name is Tejzia? I swear these people's parents must go out of their way to give their child the dumbest name possible.

You know it's probably some traditional name, which makes what you just said really racist.

Maybe. What's the excuse for Destiny and Asia?

I can pretty much guarantee that name isn't traditional. I used to work in an Atlanta school and the names I came across were unforgettable. It's a strange cultural thing. I actually had kids in my classes named Destiny and Asia.

Like BigJonno, I assumed some of the stranger names were traditional. Another staff member informed me that none of them were. They're just strange for the sake of being strange.

If her last name isn't Dax, I'll be disappointed.

Unique. I mean it's not too funky if you ask me. I don't know what I would have preferred (Xerxes maybe) but Brian was for the birds at least until like 3rd grade

Tezia is Greek. That's all I know. Can't remember where I read/heard about it.

Tejzia isn't even really a bad name, just different. It the kids like Orangejello that I feel bad for.

Yes, it is a real name and it's pronounced Or ran juh low.

Just watch the Maury show. You get exposed to all sorts of awesome baby names.

Not safe for sanity.

It actually kinda upsets me. Samaria is very close to a name I've used for female characters in MMOs.

Samaria sounds like an Indian or Pakistani name. I have an Indian friend called Samira.

I've just been researching Aramaic/Arabian names for my dervish in Guild Wars, settled on Samia which had a million variations including that one I believe.

Something about that chapter just sounds racist.

The sad thing is that after years of riding the bus that conversation didn't even make me bat an eye. I still didn't understand most of it, but it hardly surprised me either. At least every other word wasn't "motherfucker".

No more than any other demographic research you wish to name. Then again the book does make the case that the largest single act ever in reducing crime in the US was to legalise abortion so it's not exactly shy about saying things that might up set people heh but ya mostly that chapter is just about the naming habbits and the reasoning behind them like how silly upper class names are used to try and set there kids apart or how some one names his kids loser and winner and winner ended up in jail and loser ended up a well respected police officer.

The only bad thing about buses in Japan are that people frequently sit on the aisle side leaving a gap by the window. Antisocial .
