The huff they try to make over this in spite of legal alcohol still disgusts me, but its really only a matter of time.

I can guarantee that chart is wrong. The bottom shows the keys as the least dense of habitual users in Florida.
L OH FUCKING L. But I'm with ya. |

I'm all for it. It will be legal for ADULTS, so I see no problem.
I remember that first temptation scene in Dewey Cox, when he's afraid to try weed. He doesn't want to get addicted (it's not addictive, his band mate says), he doesn't want a hangover (it won't give you one), it might get expensive (cheapest drug there is), but he might overdose (you can't overdose). Found the scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo4SjwA5Odg Really, all you need to know, and it's all true.

Yeah, I'm wary of that chart, too. I mean, the Number of Arrests section, for example, is useless without knowing how many crimes of each there were - if there were only 595K violent crimes in '08, then the police are doing a bang up job!
And, for the record, I'd probably be for legalizing it as well (though, of course, I have my own stipulations attached). |

I dunno. I could care less if it's legalized or not, but like anything, in excess it can lead to problems. My wife's dad is a chronic smoker for over 30 years, and he's fucking dumb as a stump. he's in his 50s and acts like he's fucking 12. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
I'll never smoke, tbh, but that's my choice. I think a lot of those who are against legalization are seeing pot as the gateway drug (lol) to others being worked on becoming legal, such as heavy hallucinogenic drugs like heroine. Where does one draw the line? The 'it's my body, my choice' argument can only go so far when taking a drug can directly cause you to harm others. Legalize it and tax the hell out of it IMO. Smoking and drinking are terrible for you, but look at all those lovely tax dollars being earned.

Of course, I can't say for sure; I've never touched the stuff, and have no plans to. I'm also for legalization, though I also think it should be licensed. |

Well, we both think he's tried harder things, but we know for a fact he smokes around 4-6 joints -daily-. She says that about 20 years ago when she was a kid he seemed a lot smarter and more well-rounded than he is now, and also smoked far less.

Besides that, one doesn't draw the line. One educates and skirts to the edge of the line, like cigarette smoking. Education, social mores, and good parenting do more to prevent addiction than criminalization every will. All it really does is send them to vocational school for criminals, oh wait...I mean jail. |

Pot...well, it's foolish to keep it illegal. The legality of it wouldn't affect my usage, but I don't see why other adults have to be criminals if they want to use the stuff.

(Yes, I can see you jaywalking in front of the hospital at 10 PM in dark clothing; lucky you, if I hadn't, you could've still crawled to the ER before bleeding out, you dumb fuck.) |

Or take some of the reflective tape for your bike and stick that on the back of your coat. I'd settle for that. You can even make a funky pattern out of it, if you're feeling creative.

This is a very early step in the process, but it's a step in the right direction.
Although it is pretty much legal already assuming you have between 75 and 200 dollars and suffer from "insomnia" or "anxiety". There are about 50-60 "clinics" within about 25 miles of here, including a few services that bring it to your door if you want. Having trouble finding a clinic? There is an app for that.
