I actually really enjoyed 3D Classics: Xevious. The game is a classic and it's the one game I remember most from my pre-console era arcade days. The sentimental value Xevious holds plus its excellent use of 3D made it worth a few bucks to me.

The $12 they want for Shantae can fuck right off, though.

Shantae is worth the money, man. It's the most expensive title on there, but it's also one of the best. It was made by like one dude, and shows a loving hand-craftedness that we need to see more of.

So, they're out in Japan and Europe, but no word on a US release. I guess we should expect them in April as a Gamestop exclusive.

What the hell, I haven't updated my 3DS since October when I got Mario but suddenly today my mii plaza has tonnes of new features.

There's achievements, a sound test, the 3d pictures have been turned into moving dioramas and there's a neat world map showing where all the miis I've met have come from.

Did they somehow stealth patch that in and have it unlock today without requiring an update? That was really weird.

EDIT: Oh sweet and you can now queue downloads in the eshop!

This is a great (and very timely, considering what launches tomorrow) update.

I'm not familiar with the PSP title, but the rep I spoke with said it's the same story and premise, with almost all the puzzles from the original making it over and tons of new content. Crush 3D is almost triple the size of the original.

It's built from the ground up for the 3DS obviously. They referred to it as a remake at the time.

Heck, maybe all my info is outdated. It was looking really polished at E3, though. They were hoping for a Fall release, but held it back the 3DS release list was too sparse at the time.

That makes sense, I hadn't heard about that at all.

It's freaking cool, too! It was a big surprise to load up the plaza and have all this cool new stuff without having to sit through a manual update, which usually takes ten minutes for me for some reason (I'm terrified it's bricking, every time).

It also downloaded all my GBA games for me after queueing them up, quitting to the home screen and then just shutting the lid. It's a bewilderingly user friendly experience for a Nintendo system!

Sucks for pirates though, I guess, if there's no longer a way to opt out of updating the firmware without keeping the wifi off.

Look up about 4 hours. I have them all, and a guy I know in another province does, too. We're golden.

Yes, this was my favorite part about the release of the games today. It was WAY less of a hassle than it was when the NES games came out, and you had to wait for it to download and the get returned to the front page of the eShop.

The mere fact that it takes you right back to the downloads list now after the DL completes is cool, but the "queue up to 10 items, and put me to sleep" option is even better.

One thing I notice playing GBA games is that the brightness seems off.

It works with DS games, but the GBA titles, even on full brightness, doesn't feel like it makes much of a difference for visibility.
