Mahnke In; Jones & Pacheco Out as Final Crisis Artists

Tucked into DC's January solicitations, this nugget:

We had JG Jones as the penciller for the first 3 issues, Jones and Carlos Pacheco as the artists on the next 3 (heavily delayed) issues, and finally Mahnke as the sole penciller for the finale. 3 pencillers on a 7 issue tentpole book is not a good thing anyway you cut it.

For the record, Final Crisis #4 ships this week, putting it just a couple weeks short of 4 months since we saw #3 (Aug 6).

I'm always confusing Carlos Pacheco with some other horrible graphics artist. Walter something I think. Drew the ugliest Batman comic I ever did see.
