The joke is that he is a horrible person. That's...that's the joke.

It's like the old joke:

A man and a boy are walking into a dark forest.
"I'm scared!" says the young boy.
"You're scared?" says the man, "I'm the one who has to walk out of here alone!"

I was going to comment as well, but decided I probably shouldn't prod. I really kind of hate when P&R claptrap brims over out of P&R, anyway.

Gave me something to sort of chuckle at, so I guess that's something.

Yeah, kind of the short definition of the whole place. As soon as you recognize where it's from, why bother being offended anymore?

From what I've seen a good portion of posters on 4chan are horrible people. Perhaps next time a simple link to the site itself will suffice.

Okay, that one made me chuckle. Now had he said he was going to rape the kid I wouldn't be laughing. I guess there's just something about rape that I find extremely disturbing and not funny at all. :/

It's always interesting to see who can laugh at the worst parts of humanity and who can't. Neither is a bad way to react in my mind. Being one of those who laugh at everything, it always amuses me when I assume somebody won't laugh and ends up laughing their ass off.

I laugh, because if you take it serious, then there is just so much out there that is wrong it will crush you.

Well, everyone has their dark humor limit. Personally, I've laughed at jokes that involved AIDs, the Holocaust, etc, even though the subject itself is absolutely horrific. It all depends on how you use the topic.

Some would prefer to be crushed than to abide some things.

But I agree this is a thread about humor, so let's just keep joking about other things.

If you want to be miffed at someone, try the guy who came up with the scenario, not the wisecracker. What a thin, exploitative way to start.

I bet he plays WoD.

The subject matters little to me. It's context.

I think it was posted in this thread before, but here's an outright hilarious comedy sketch that touches on AIDs, the Holocaust, and cancer. The tri-fecta!

I do have a problem with certain stereotyping jokes, however - if the joke actually reinforces negative, untrue stereotypes against a group of people. For instance, I find racism hilarious - IF the joke is framed around "this is a ridiculous thing some people actually believe". If the joke is "HURR DURR Black people are criminals" I'm not going to laugh much at the idea of black people being criminals, but I can laugh at the idea that somebody thinks all black people are criminals.

If the joke is that racism is a joke, I guess.

I completely agree. I still hear outright homophobic jokes on a regular basis, and frankly they often disgust me. However, jokes that mock homophobia are often hilarious. It's all about context.
