From what I've seen a good portion of posters on 4chan are horrible people. Perhaps next time a simple link to the site itself will suffice.

It's always interesting to see who can laugh at the worst parts of humanity and who can't. Neither is a bad way to react in my mind. Being one of those who laugh at everything, it always amuses me when I assume somebody won't laugh and ends up laughing their ass off.

Well, everyone has their dark humor limit. Personally, I've laughed at jokes that involved AIDs, the Holocaust, etc, even though the subject itself is absolutely horrific. It all depends on how you use the topic.

I do have a problem with certain stereotyping jokes, however - if the joke actually reinforces negative, untrue stereotypes against a group of people. For instance, I find racism hilarious - IF the joke is framed around "this is a ridiculous thing some people actually believe". If the joke is "HURR DURR Black people are criminals" I'm not going to laugh much at the idea of black people being criminals, but I can laugh at the idea that somebody thinks all black people are criminals.

If the joke is that racism is a joke, I guess.

I completely agree. I still hear outright homophobic jokes on a regular basis, and frankly they often disgust me. However, jokes that mock homophobia are often hilarious. It's all about context.
